Bob Engle
Take the seal into a local industrial bearing and supply store and have them match up an equivalent seal. The Buick numbers won't mean anything to them. Bob Engle
Nfrutiger7
I don't believe the seal is in there at all
DonMicheletti
Measure the shaft, seal oudside diameter of the seal bore and depth of the recess. Any seal house can match a seal with that information. Very common practice.
DonMicheletti
Or just post those numbers. i have catalogs that can match it up.

midman
I did mine with a modern lip seal a few months ago. I might still have the part number but I did what has been suggested and ordered it from measurements. I’ll check for the number when I get home on Monday. Oil? Is that what it should have? Usually a semi-fluid grease is used (NLGI 00). Edited July 29, 2018 by Spinneyhill (see edit history)
