Though the name originated from the initials of its founder, it wasn't intended merely to be initials, nor an acronym. Reo itself treated its name as an actual word. I think most of the time that they did spell it REO, the capitalization was likely for emphasis, because the other words in the headline were capitalized too. The fact that it was EVER in small letters means that they weren't using the name as an acronym.
