Morgan Wright
Looks like I can pop the glass out of this mirror and cut a new one to fit. Looks like aftermarket. What do most people do for rear view mirrors? You gotta see who's crashing into you.
Hubert_25-25
This is the rear view mirror from my 1925 Buick Standard that I have not yet restored. It has thick non beveled glass. I was going to get the glass resilvered, or have a new piece of thick mirror cut. Hugh
Morgan Wright
Did you have to drill through the window frame for the bolts?
DonMicheletti
On my '18, both the windshield wiper and the center rear view mirror are clamp on. There are no holes in the window frame. That suggests to me that neither were not supplied with the cars and were add ons. Comments?
Gary W
Here's the one that I used in my Model "T". It clamps on to the frame so no holes drilled. It articulates in both directions View from the outside Close-up of the clamp and the articulated joints. Gary

The windscreen frame was drilled and the mirror was bolted to the frame permanently. It allows the mirror to be swivelled down if the windscreen is in the down position, although all you then see is the folded top and cover.. I found an accessory trouble/spot light with a rear vision mirror attached to be essential to keep an eye on what traffic was sneaking up in your blind spot. The circular convex rear view mirror gives an excellent view of what's behind and beside you. They are usually available at reasonable prices on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Anderson-autoreelite-antique-auto-light-1916-rear-mirror-on-back-awesome-rat-rod/391967462301?hash=item5b4314d39d:g:x2AAAOSw-olaDjWr&vxp=mtr Edited February 5, 2018 by 50jetback (see edit history)
