RiKi5156B
Don’t know if you read my blog in modified section but there was a guy here in the north west racing a 66 wagon with a junkyard 455 and nitrous. Low 10s front wheels 2 ft in the air. I had a S/G 71 duster,9.40s at 150 came up in first round against him after he doubled the nitrous. We launched and not even 60 ft out he exploded the engine and parts of the crank/rods hit the ground. The next week he came back with a zillion mile 71 short block($75) and still dragging the back bumper.Fun to watch,he had around $5500 in the car total. avgwarhawk
Dragonwagon. I used to run 1/4 in my 73 Estate Wagon. Never hit those numbers with the stock 455!

I blew the rear out of it racing at the Buick meet at Cecil County Dragway , it was so violent , the whole car shock. . We rebuilt the rear and I took the wagon out for a spin and everything was fine, HAULED A## . When it came time to go racing , I lost interest . It always drew a crowd , plan Jane cream colored Buick wagon . The most asked question was "Where is the Nitrous ?" My answer was " Its a Buick, you don't need nitrous !!!
