ford repro lead acid batteries

If you show the car use a modern battery and put the repro in just for the judges to look at. If you don't show the car just use a modern battery.

Any repro lead acid I've tried has been OVER PRICED PURE JUNK. 3 years tops and it's dead.

I get 6 to 7 years out of a good NAPA store 6 volt battery at less than half the price of a JUNK repro.

As an aside, if you do show the car, Just remove the battery sticker logos with the help of a hair dryer and a little lacquer thinner .

As long as the battery is plain black with no modern stickers on it the judges will pretend it's a tar top oldie.

I have 4 Grand National winners that passed that test..............Bob

You might want to head over to FordBarn forums.

Cutting the battery cases has been discussed there many times.

Use the search function and you should be able to find the threads that treat that topic.
