bobs1916
I need to replace pistons (scored) and rings in 1918. Plan to get pistons and valves from Egge. Anybody have comments good or bad re this company.?
cahartley
Top notch! You might be concerned about the piston clearance, I know I was. I was that >< close to turning them a tad but figured if EGGE doesn't know what they are doing nobody does. The pistons are cam ground so don't let the tight clearance throw you. Willy
Does EGGE have valves also?

trimacar
I've had some issues with Egge pistons over the years, nothing insurmountable, but sometimes their quality is just at acceptable levels. Make sure you engine rebuilder knows his stuff on older engines to help prevent issues. Arias pistons are works of art, but more expensive, so Egge still gets a lot of business....I have a set of Arias pistons on the shelf for my 1910 Buick, anyone who looks at them thinks they're beautiful, but I want to hide them in the engine as soon as possible! dwollam
I have Egge's pistons in my 22 Screeenside. I have been told they are a little heavier than some but not near as heavy as the iron pistons they replaced! Working perfect for years now. Stainless valves and new springs as well.
