What year is this engine?

1924 or later because of the removable cylinder head.  I would say 1926 or later because of separate starter and generator units.

I thought about the starter/generator but thought it might have been an add on in that configuration because it was being used as a stationary power source.???

My 1917 4.cyl has a removable cylinder head.

Not sure if it's a 26, the pushrod and spark plug configuration don't look right. It looks like they're exposed on this engine where as on a 26 the spark plugs are normally recessed behind a cover

To me it looks like a compilation of various parts. The engine has plugs in the side of the block like all the cage valve Buicks. All the 1924 and up detachable head 6 cylinder Buicks have the plugs in the head. I love to see the handiwork of these resourceful farmers.
