R Walling
To prepair my car for winter in New England I fill up the windshield washers with a good mix so that it dosn't frezze. Give it a good coat of wax so that the snow slides off. Put some weight in the trunk for good traction, Sand is best, you can use it on the ice. Put some fiberglass insulation or old rags in the back seat so that the mice don't have to chew up your seats for warmth. Then, don't be a wuss, go out and drive it and enjoy the winter. vermontboy
Model "A" Fords with the old button snow tires on '48 rims (with spacer) do well in deep snow - drove through many a blizzard back in the 60's. Not so good in slush on busy roads because the windshield would become opaque from road spray regularly.

60FlatTop
Park the cars you want to drive when the roads are dry in front. The ones with big jobs waiting for the off season go behind.Bernie
