Need Help Identifying NOT 1939 Special Spare Tire Covers

Got these spare tire covers with my 1939 46C project but they don't fit the fenders. Any ideas? Thanks, Bob H

Except for the emblem location and the small chrome ring, they look like the one's on my '40 series 90.

With the chrome ring where it is, they apparently don't sit too deep in the fender well.

Give a shout to the '39 team members, such as Grant or Danny down under.

Might check with Barney Eaton (on the Forum), who has a '39 Century Coupe with side mounts. Maybe he can tell if they are for a Century with 15" wheel vs. 16" on Specials.

I'd say Not '39.

I'd say '40 Special or Century.

They have the same "Not really sitting in the fender" look as the '39s.

I think 6 wheelers where gone by '41.

I have attached a not so great photo of the cover on my '39 Century. The '39 Special and Century used a one year only cover that fit over the OUTSIDE of the fender.

Since the chrome ring and BUICK chrome look the same as my Century, I first thought you have covers for a '39 Roadmaster/Limited side mount, but they did not have the same trim.

After doing a Google search, good chance they are 40 Special covers.

Thanks guys! So the consensus appears to be that they fit 1940 Special and/or Century. I will have them for sale in my swap meet booth at the BCA national meet in Portland, Oregon, July 23-26. Any interest? Thanks again, Bob H
