Guest dougklink
I'm looking for an engine for this truck. They have the block but nothing else. Anyone have any leads? Has both Graham Brothers and Dodge Brothers hub caps. Thanks!Doug KlinkReliance Fire MuseumReliance Fire Museum | Estes Park, Colorado

Guest dougklink
Not sure but I've been told 1929. I should have photos of the block they have soon and will post them.
30DodgePanel
Hi Doug, the photo is not uploading in post #1. We look forward to seeing the engine block but make sure you make note of any letters that may prefix the engine serial along with the number should be passenger side below the exhaust ports. Frame number will be vital as well to determining the year.
Guest dougklink
Are there that many differences in the engines around that time?

keiser31
Definitely not 1929. More like 1927 maybe.
stakeside
Definitely not 1929. More like 1927 maybe.Need a frame number. Look above the front spring bracket on the drivers side. The frame number will start with an E, D or a S. The letter will be followed by six numbers.Do you have any other pictures? Best I can see from original photo it does not have brakes in the front. I believe this would be a 27 or older.
Guest 1930
Are there that many differences in the engines around that time? Not if its the 4 cyl. Engine number would be drivers side center if memory serves me, need the frame number to narrow down the best or closest engine that would be correct
Guest dougklink
Here is a photo the owner sent me but of course he didn't take the right side of the engine so I've asked for that too. Anyone have a lead or can identify year? Thanks!

robert b
The engine is is a 124 or 128 motor , the 124 prefix is " d " and the 128 is the number " 1 " . These engines are used in the 1927 and 1928 cars ,they are the last 4 cyclinder engines used by Dodge Brothers .
