Guest brian j
Hi. There were a couple of horns on Ebay Motors for DB last week. I don't know if they are still there. Regards.
db17
I saw the horns on e-bay but they are different than what is needed on my car. Check out the pic. you will see the horn that must have been on my car. The bracket on the firewall is still on the car, but no horn. Anyone have any info. on this horn?Thanks!!DB17

db17
Not familiar with a Garford horn. Any idea when (year to year) they were used?I'm finding out some other parts on my car are nor original. Like, steel oil pan instead of aluminum on a 1917 Dodge.Thanks!!DB17
bobs1916
HiI have a Garford horn but it not the exact same model. I bought it for my '16 and then found the exact one. It is slightly smaller and you will need to use the bracket that you have. Send me a PM with your email and I will send detailsbob

db17
Understand DB are 12 volt, but I read an item date 2008 stating that Garford horns came 6 and 12 volt.
RAH
db17, Sorry I do not have the horn for your '17. However there were several articles on horns for early DBs. Check out DBC News Mar/Apr '87 pp10, and Mar.Apr '88 pp8. The Garford horn shown P/N L-4559 was a motor driven horn. It was used on DBs from S/N 63992 - 78519 and again from 101954 - 217968. I hope this helps. Rodger "Dodger" Hartley
dwollam
Ok, sorry I misunderstood. Yes I am sure Garford and the other manufacturers made 6 volt models for nearly everyone else as DB was one of the few that were 12 volt.
