Dave Mellor NJ
Is this a Kaiser or just parked in front of a K_F dealer? It looks British like a Wolesly or a Jowett. I see a 41 Caddy and used mopars in the background. From LowKat on Hamb
Guest straight shooter
It is definitely not a Wolseley and I doubt its a Jowett. I have never seen a Kaiser Frazer with that front wheel well design but it has a lot of similarities to the production vehicles and it is also in front of a Kaiser Frazer dealer. It is probably a prototype or promotional/show vehicle of some sort. Edited December 22, 2011 by straight shooter (see edit history)
alsancle
I have a vague recollection that it was built by a California Kaiser dealer from a wreck. Keep in mind I said vague.
Rusty_OToole
Appears to be a custom job based on a 1946 - 50 Kaiser. The modifications are so extensive as to practically make a new car, but you can see some Kaiser in the lines and grille - parking light area.. Guest hausdok
Hi,To me, it looks like a highly customized 49 Nash.Mike O'HandleyKenmore, Washingtonhausdok@msn.com
rons49
My first take is a cross between a 47 Frazer and a 52 Muntz Jet.
Guest BJM
It's too bad that car is situated in front of a KF sign. It is 100% NOT KF. I am a Kaiser Frazer Owners Club member and I can confirm that is NOT a KF one off sports car or any such car.

Dave Mellor NJ
Thanks Ken. That was one of the most thorough answers ever given. It's like ly that there was a connection to Kaiser after all seeing as this was an earlier Darrin car and Kaiser came out with a later Darrin

Guest hausdok
Yes,Very interesting article. Now that I was able to see all sides of it in those photos, I can understand why I thought it was a Nash; it has an uncanny resemblance to the Nash Airflyte.Mike O'HandleyKenmore, Washingtonhausdok@msn.com
padgett
Thank you, that is a one-of-a-kind front wheel well that (fortunately ?) did not make it into later designs. Is that a crank hole in the front bumper ? Must admit the one piece windscreen had me looking later.ps it does not appear that the fenderwell was in the original design either:I wonder what happened (front bumper looks a little dinged also).
