Guest Road mister
Does anyone know how much weight sits on the Reatta front tires vs how much is sitting in the Rears? and then, Total curb weight? on a hard top.I ask this question because I cant help notice that despite the same tires all around with the same 32psi in each, the fronts are definatly carrying a lot more weight. Curios how much.

NCReatta
Maybe it's just me.. but 2241 plus 1104 doesn't add up to 3350...

Ronnie
Maybe it's just me.. but 2241 plus 1104 doesn't add up to 3350... That's because the 1104 is "Reat" weight. It's heavier than Rear weight.
NCReatta
That's because the 1104 is "Reat" weight. It's heavier than Rear weight. Ah, that makes sense! Edited February 6, 2011 by NCReatta (see edit history)

Barney Eaton
I rechecked the numbers from the press release and 2241/1104 are the numbers posted.Maybe it (the 5 #) is unsprung weight.
Barney Eaton
I am still looking but have not found anything about weight distrubution for later models. The 1991 Product Manual gives the weight for the coupe at 3392 (corrected) and convertible 3593 (corrected) but does not give front/rear distrubution. Guest Road mister
Based on these numbers, that I have verified from other sources, it's interesting to note that the Reatta weighs in 322 lbs more than this SUV.
padgett
Why ? I susect there is a bit more sound deadening and electronics. Also the Reatta had to weigh enough to fit in the same weight class as the Riviera and leverage the Riviera's emissions testing. This is why they have the same rating at Find a Car
