Hupp36
Huptoy, I think that George is looking for a 368 CI 133 Hp Hupp which would be the 1930 -1932 H or U. Some of these cars were fitted with special bodys for the rich folks. I do not have my Hupp books with me here in FL or I could show a pic of 1 of these cars. ChuckAs someone who also appreciates these cars, do you have any idea of the production numbers? Was the 368 discontinued after 32? I tool would love a cycle fender large 8, but I think current projects make that a tough sell to the wife.
Hupp36
Ok they started prpduction in 1929 on the H & U 595-H & 5-U 1930 1,868 H & 393-U 1931 735-H & 170-U 1932 270- H & 122-U. Unfortunately 1932 was the last year for the 368 Ci. 133 Hp. My 1936-N 8cyl was the largest at 303Ci and 120 HP that Hupp produced untill they went out of car production in 1940. It has Hupp- Super Drive which is an overdrive and is capable of today's highway speeds. But it loves 55-60 and thats fast enough for me.

Hupp36
I think I need to clarify something. The 1930-1932 H & U were not cycle fender cars. The cycle fender Hupps designed by Raymond Loewy were produced from 1932 -1934. There were 2- 8cyl models and 1- 6 cyl. model. Hupp used the year and wheel base in the model # F-222 was a small 8cyl F-small 8, the first 2 -year 1932, the second 22 was the wheel base 122 in. The second 8 cyl Model I was a larger ci. and longer wheel base. I-226. Both of these models came in 4 body styles. A coupe, 4dr sedan, victoria and a cabriolet. The 6-cyl was the Model K-221 also was produced in the same body types as the F & I. Hupp produced 3,382 F's, 664 I's and 13 K's in 1932. 1,113 F's, 517 I's and 4,940 K's in 1933. 260 F's, 226 I's and1,009 K's in 1934.

I think I've seen 4 or 5 of the F-222 cars for sale in the last couple of years but I do not recall ever seeing a I-226. I assume that both F & I used the same bodies? How as the additional 4 inches of wheelbase accounted for, in the hood? Also, do you know how much bigger cube/hp wise the I was from the F?
