Dave Mellor NJ
Meineke Muffler in Berlin,Nj has had one of these muffler-cars for probably 30 years. The proprietor, Joe Minghenelli was a member of my Garden State Model A region of the AACA but moved to Florida. He left the car to the present owner,I guess, 'cause it's still parked in front of the business.
Ben Bruce aka First Born
Nice one ,John. And a fairly recent one. One here in Springfield has been setting on the same corner of the muffler shop lot for 15 years. I will have to see what is under the skin. Larry Schramm
Did this one start as a Chevrolet? Looks like Chevy by the steering wheel.
Guest Paul Christ
Very neat car, I'd love to see that rolling down the road. I am wondering, however, how they were able to get tags for it? Where I live, that vehicle could never be registered without all of the 'necessary' equipment being in place (windshield, headlights, taillights, etc.). Perhaps they just kept the tags from the donor vehicle hoping that nobody would notice the modifications , or maybe Oregon isn't as strict as Maryland? keiser31
Don't need lights to register a car in Oregon if you don't drive it at night. The vehicle used to be a Ford Tempo or similar car. I will have to ask. It has Ford parts all over it inside.
