The noted automotive historian and author, Beverly Rae Kimes passed away on May 12.

That is very sad news, she was a great lady. The Standard Catalog of American Cars 1805-1942 that she coauthored with the late Henry Austin Clark was her greatest automotive work IMO. Our condolances and prayers go out to her friends and family.

And her work in pulling together and editing the AQ Packard book is a notible achievement. May she rest in peace.

I can't imagine the amount of work that went into the Standard Catalog. She will be missed.

She was a wealth of automotive knowledge. A walking encyclopedia. I had the pleasure of meeting her a few times through a friend. I knew she wasn't doing well and had hoped for the best. Rest in peace.

I had corresponded with her up until March about a book I am writing on the Durant Motors Corporation. She was very helpful and gave me some pointers on how and where to get published. The last email I had with her, she said she was in too much pain to completely respond to my email. A very tallented lady for sure and her Standard Catalog of American Cars IS the bible of our cars.
