Jolly_John
Hey, is there any truth to the rumor circulating in the Buick Club of America and the Buick Driving Enthusiasts that Joe T., also known as "The Old Guy" on this forum, secretly built this car??? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buick-LeS...sspagenameZWDVW
John
"You wont find another car like this anywhere...."I sincerely hope this is true!
The Old Guy
I will admit that through the years I have built some "unconventional" cars ,but they all had one thing in common. They were all built to go fast! I would be scared to death to drive this unless someone put real wheels on it '22 inchers with rubber band tires don't get it for me! Centurion
If someone felt that it was necessary to modify the car in this fashion, it's unfortunate that he didn't select a regular LeSabre. This is one of the rare Palm Beach models, and, while it might never be particularly collectible, the Palm Beach should certainly command higher prices than a regular LeSabre. JohnD1956
I hear that the main reason these people do this so they can change the oil without a lift.JD
jscheib
It saves the use of jacks and jack stands also, and the safety issue of crawling under the car on jack stands.John
The Old Guy
I guess that is why I never liked the BIG wheels. I have a 4 post lift, and I am not sure whether I could put a car all the way up with the extra height from the wheels.

Guest GRANNYS 70 SKYLARK
"It has a Custom Fabricated suspension (NOT A BOLT ON KIT)"Is that supposed to instill some feeling of safety if you were to drive this car or, better, if this car was behind you on the highway and had to make a panic stop? The Old Guy
I will wager that the grand parent is rolling over in his grave, and figuring out how to haunt the kid that did this to what looks like a nice Riv
