  1. post-54093-143142825527_thumb.jpg Photo shows present loop carpet which I know is incorrect. Samples from SMS show tight loop(Daytona and Grospoint?) Strip on left in lighter green is from the footrest which is barely visible below the rear of the front seat when installed. It appears to be a short mohair. It appears to be sufficiently worn to be original. Many have said Daytona is correct, some have said Grospoint or something called Roxpoint is correct. Would the footrest be carpeted different? Anyone know for sure? Or maybe got an original carpeted Roady that can verify ? Don't want to buy carpet twice.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Thanks James. That is a great reference item but it doesn't deal with the painted metal colors. The only reference I have found is the Ditzler chart. I have asked around and apparently code 473 wasn't a big seller. I am certain the lower part should be the lighter green.Whoever did it didn't want to deal with the lettering and radio grill. I just don't know about the upper dash and garnish.

1953 Pinehurst Green looks close as well.

  3. The dash on my Roadmaster has been resprayed. Seems there were three greens available in 55. Briar green closely matches the dark green, Skylark the lighter. I have never seen a two-tone like mine. Overspray is evident around the vent/heater sliders and other areas. I have seen the two-tone with white lower and different upper but not two greens. Would like to return to original. Interior code is 473. Any ideas?

    Thanks.post-54093-14314276387_thumb.jpg

  4. Even a near perfectly functioning antenna will have noise if not extended enough.

I concur with this diagnosis. There is a noticeable difference in static even if my antenna is 6-8" down. Full extended gives best retention. And as per the owners manual, don't start the car with the radio on.

  5. The inner potions of the bars, part "D: on Liefs shop page have been bent outward. Rotate my pic 101-0015 180deg. to orient like your pics. Look at the same part of the bar on my car. It is nearly a 90 deg. bend and mates with hole. Your bend is somewhat less.

  6. Just picked up a Snap On ACT-3000 refrigerant recovery machine very cheaply from Kregslist. Did not come with an Op manual. Snap on appears to only have a PDF of the assembly/troubleshooting portion of the Op manual. Is anyone familiar with this machine or have the manual for it?
