  1. Be sure to check with him before you send these off. I was ready to send mine to him a couple years ago. Emailed him for an address. Two days later he responds that he wasn't going to fix any more of these for several months. His ad is back in the Riview, and I haven't contacted him since, so he may be back.
  2. If you have no dash or radio lights (console at shifter?) the headlight swith is bad. I had all good lights except these. Had a bad spot in the switch. Replaced the switch and had all lights back.
  3. I can tell which posts are new, but it is hard to find the new post within each thread. Posting is better overall, but harder to monitor.
  4. OK, I will be the first to ask, what did you do to it yesterday?
  5. That's the way I did mine. Ordered the muffler from Summit after I talked to the exhaust guy. Told him what I wanted and how I wanted it done. He said, bring me your muffler and the car. No problem. PS, welcome aboard to you and Ricky.
  6. 3/8 lines are no problem. You can get the basic waves or the adjustable kind. Go to their site and enter the info for your car and it will show what is available. As mentioned in the link for the earlier post, do bags and rear wheels and tires before exhaust. Those will be the major obstacles for the exhaust tech. Link below. 7. My bags are all from Ride Tech, or Air Ride Technologies. I put the complete system on, with shocks and bags on the rear and shockwaves in the front.
  8. Fortunately Buick took care of part of this for us. If you feel along the front wheel lip at about 10:30 and 1:30, you will feel a small relief in the wheel lip of the fender and inner fender. However, the stainless wheelwell trim is not relieved in the same location. The inner lip of this trim is a consistent 5/8" wide. I relieved the inner flange of the stainless trim in these two locations to take advantage of the two factory reliefs on each side and have not had any fender wheelwell rubbing on my bagged car since. Still will rub the frame behind the tire, but only when turned to full lock.
  9. Scott, if your car has AC, there are no replacements. Replacements on the market at this time fit non AC cars only. They don't tell you that, but the nipples are longer on the AC heater core. Best advice either way is to get your old one recored. Take it to a competant radiator shop and have a new core added to your existing ends. That way you know it fits.
  10. Tony has a good point. Much of what you've already removed to replace the carpet has to also be removed to replace the heater core. If needed, you are about 3/4 of the way there already.
  11. So Tony, you now have the only 70 Riviera without skirts. so does that make it a step child's step child?
  12. If you really don't care which of the two you buy, you are a rare car guy. Most people have their minds made up one way or the other. For most there is no choice, it is one way or the other. Been said here before, you don't build a Riv for resale value. If is isn't a labor of love, don't bother. Your car, your choice. Choose what makes you happy and go for it. I agree with Ed. I have seen lots of cars done right, both stock and custom. And a lot with plenty of corners cut, both stock and custom. Again, choose what you want and don't worry about what others think..
  13. Whitewatersky used a picture of my Riv in his post. Pinched my pic, as he says.
