  1. Hi I'm selling this 1971 Skylark on eBay - one owner AZ car, all original unrestored in beautiful condition, was last registered in 1992, it's in top mechanical condition and ready to drive anywhere, 350 with AC, here is the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/111285092951?forcerRptr=true&item=111285092951&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME:L:LCA:MOTORS:1123
  2. Hello, I am trying to find my first car. Not the actual car because I heard it was totaled but the make, model and year of this wonderful first car. It was a hardtop, all blue. I remember it having a 455 CID 2 barrel carb. I think. I am willing to put some elbow grease into the car but it should have original matching numbers. I like stock. I am in Michigan. Thank you. You can respond to me at john.orischak@gmail.com.
  3. The old ladys cars are still out there to be found! A craigslist listing with a poor picture, simply stating 'excellent condition' ... I followed up with the ad, and found this.... ONLY 55,000 miles! absolutely rust-free southern car. Had 7 years of dust covering it. Unfortunately, it also had a full gas tank that was sitting for 7 years.
  4. did all measurements, will fit under hood, how ever, is longer than 350 by 2.5 inch. and much longer than 3.8 from bell mount 29.5" , brings water pump to center of radiator. 1 inch deep into radiator. Can I use a "short water pump" or early short non AC car/? if have short pump then just tight fit. if other wise, anyone ever berry the radiator like a VETTE under the nose of skyhawk at an angle close to grill with electric fan?? I want a real eye opener , when you open the hood there sits a 455 under the hood of a sub-compact car. Any advise on fit of 455 in H-body 75-80 skyhawk. please chime in. . . . .note is hatch, frame work , needed help too dont want to twist it , if I do gas it.. thx

  6. Hello all. Just recently acquired (via a gift from my wife) a new project car. A 1970 Buick Riviera. This is my second go round in ownership. It's going to need some work, but it's mine. So I thank anyone and everyone in advance for the much needed advice I'm sure I'll be asking for in the months to come. A little background on this car. It's been sitting for a couple of years and initially was thought to have a seized engine. Previous owner could not turn the engine manually. Nor could I when I went to view the car. I got her on a really good deal because of this. Got her home and pulled the plugs and gave each cylinder a shot of PB Blaster and let it sit a day. I turned the key and just heard a click then nothing. Another shot of PB and another day and then had my son turn the key and the starter engaged and the engine turn a quarter turn. Then just clicked. I pulled the starter with the intention of rebuilding it as it was pretty worn. But I discovered a short between the armature and the commutator. So I opted for a new starter. Installed it today along with all new connections for the wiring leading to the starter; battery reading 13.00 even on the meter. The engine turned 2 and half turns then stopped. The starter seems to be straining. So I immediately stopped trying. I'm feeling a total rebuild coming on (something I have always wanted to learn) but I figured I'd find fellow owners and appeal to your knowledge. Has anyone every had this happen? A motor is generally seized or not. This 455 seems to be somewhere in the middle? Thanks again!

  8. Looking to sell OEM new front bumper and OEM new rear bumper for an Olds 88. Items are still in the original condition (one dipped in plastic coating, the other wrapped in paper). I have some other oem parts seals, script, headlight trim. I also have an Olds 88 custom (Police package) 455, (10.25 : 1 comp ratio) 4bbl, 400hp, 400 tranny. The 4bbl Rochester was borrowed by someone from midnight auto supply. The car is for parts only. It will turn over and probably start via ether sprayed in intake. It ran, it was parked, it was trashed. I hate to see it junked as not many 455 cu in engines left.

  10. Good day everyone, My father bought a 1971 Buick Riviera when he was 18. He babied this car for so many years. It rarely saw the light of day at times. He and my mom have gotten to the point in their lives where they don't want to stare at this car in garage anymore. (As beautiful as it is.) They have talked about selling it so I am looking to get some info on the potential value of this car. Stats - 46,000 original miles, 455ci Engine, Power Windows, Power Trunck Release, Original Wheels, Factory AC, air suspension, and last but definitly not least, an 8 track player. The color is the copper color with light saddle cloth interior. Needless to say there are no tears or stains in the interior. What would a car like this go for in the Riviera market? We are in the central valley of California. Unfortunately I don't have a picture with me now to post. Would love some insight from the professionals here.
