  1. Thanks to all who shared their insight to the try and name the source of this cabinet. Sun is still in mind the likely suspect. They did change colors in later years. This is my Sun tester from a few decades back. Darker blue for sure.
  2. for those still playing along, these pics show the table top under the wood and yes, it appears as the holes may be locaters for attached rubber feet to some portable test equipment and a hood/shelf of a sort maybe... The cabinet top with these wheels is 30.25 inches high. It seems there are four 3/8 inch holes drilled by a PO for other than original use. The butchered hole in the back I will repair you can see this through the opened doors top center of the shelf. Lucky me, I measured a piece of granite I have had on hand and move about as a work surface bench to bench an it is as if it were cut specifically for this table top. This will likely be moved to my small machine shop when cosmetically cleaned up.
  3. I have search under sun to no avail, in the older days this was their color, went darker blue later. Bluestreak had a similar color and Alemite or Seville may have made this. There are no signature cuts on the cabinet. (label/tags) and no sign of ever being one, top is 18 deep and 31 wide. with wheels approx 32 but admit I did not measure this earlier.
  4. yeah same here....not that this is a must know, it's just now a needle in my brain that I should be able to recall when and where is all.....
  5. I was wondering if anyone could identify this little cabinet....reminds me of Sun or AC Delco cabinet from 60/70 era. Not a bit deal if not known but just curious is all. There is a ton of knowledge on this forum. The wooden top was added somewhere in history, the drill press is just sitting there. That long rail in the front should be a dead giveaway to the knowing. Two shelves and a compartment in the door for documents. Thanks....
  6. for sure the AACA members have it going on.......I was coming up empty on every internet search. Many thanks for the identification. I tip my hat to you all...! Tim
  7. For the collective knowledge of the AACA I submit this poser. It was located at the swap meet an a box of car logos and emblems and seller could not state but that he gleaned it at the wrecking yard. I think it is a Viking ship but as a side profile and not head on, not Rover...if a swan the tail feathers are point inside the body and not out....anyone know this emblem....as always, thanks for looking and taking part. has 734 in raised letters on the back....3 studs for mounting and use of barrel clips two circular mold marks with T.R inside one and a combo of letter/emblem I cannot decipher
  8. Looking for correct application for a Bilstein jack that was among a large collection of older Brit car parts, am sure not for a Brit car and style appears to be Mercedes or along that line at least. Does not appear to be Porsche/VW Bilstein AB1574, internet search came back empty. Thanks for your help. edit note.....cleaning the part number show the number 5 instead of my first read of 0 so part number is AB1574 my apologies...still nothing concrete returned from an online search of this number either outside one person guess and calling out about everything made in Germany.. PS...I hate auto correct.....lol
  9. The clubs that revolve about the small Brit cars here in the US especially my quadrant of America seem to dwell around show only with a hospitality room, local tour events and a wine and dine at the end of the awards ceremony. Too much pomp and circumstance/pedigree for the average 'get your hands dirty' owner/builder of the various makes and models and they have all but done away with the swap meet portion of the shows. The last two events/shows I attended had no swap section though advertised and at that save a couple folks were often just offering books on x models for sale or trinkets like Union Jack logo stuff. At most these books were "the story of..." and nothing but picture books with zero pertinent data to the repair and maintenance at any degree....a coffee table book if you will for idle minds. I think many organizers do not like the 'organized chaos' of the display of used parts and such in and about the arena of the event. Whatever their thinking, the lack of a swap meet has totally turned me from any attending any future Brit car show event. Not worth the time or trouble to attend. Don't get me wrong, I like a clean finished car as much as the next man, I just prefer having access to parts to be able to reach that point in a build just a tad bit better.....the combined event of swap and show is truly a win win and many meets are shooting themselves int eh foot for gate money by not hosting the swap.
  10. that would be a bet I would not take....unfortunately, seems these cars don't draw much attention in the deep south
  11. no longer of a concern, seems a large bother to many
  12. I requested the diameter of the wheel and the size of the register hole.....c
  13. I have been told that Champion used the 4 x 4" pattern with a rim width of 4" What I have not be told was the rim diameter (14/15) and the register opening diameter. Anyone have that information....looking as a possible source for a retrofit. Thanks....
  14. quick..turn right..there is a black 544 in your path... these little cars are quite the venture..if nothing else, they do tend to grow on you..I have a 62 Sport model...now where did I lay that spare 440 engine....lol
  15. makes you wonder a bit about the ad and selling agent .......New from a vintage British inventory. Gotta love it for sure......thanks for the daily chuckle
  16. the firing order also is related to engines with a counterclockwise rotation..
  17. how about the A L F fits the time line and firing order I think..truly just guessing here...lol
  18. not adding to the clutch/FD coupler..but I am happy to see another D19 Town Sedan out there...
  19. does not get much easier than this...... http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=1%2F2-20+left+hand+wheel+bolts&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xmopar+left+hand+wheel+bolts.TRS0&_nkw=mopar+left+hand+wheel+bolts&_sacat=0
  20. thanks..but so far the site will not open for contact....will keep trying, Meanwhile...still have a need for a pair of nice exterior handles...
  21. Looking for a very good set of original exterior door handle assemblies for the P15 series Plymouth..(with mounting bases) Please send PM with price and photo if possible... Thanks
  22. Bingo...we have a winner..I looked for lots of applications..but not the hubcap..thanks so much..I will put this in my display case for now....its in really good condition. I thank you so much for the quick reply. I found a box of misc. emblems and badges at the swap meet and this was in that box.
  23. Evening all..usually I do pretty well identifying parts but this one has me a bit stumped. Granted not an Olds aficionado but got particular item along with a few other items that I needed for another car.. Anyone able to shed year and actual application of badge, say trunk hood or door card etc etc...thanks much.. Measurements......1 15/16 wide and 2 inches high..just shy of 3/16 thick..chromed finish, with locator stud and threaded attachment stud on back.
  24. I know different companies made different models but this is the first Chicken Coupe I have seen...but of course I would be concerned to place actual live chickens there unless they first were inoculated for tetanus... http://columbiamo.craigslist.org/cto/4828277489.html
