  1. Here's a used taillight lens for your '66 Fury wagon. Lens is in OK condition but has a crack across the middle and aluminum trim needs to be cleaned-up. Good for a driver. $20.00 postpaid in the lower 48 States. PayPal is fine. Thanks for looking!

  6. My wife and I attended on Saturday and had a great time. Walked a lot, bought a few things, and got lunch from a food vendor. I'm into 1951-52 Plymouths and the nearest thing I saw on the show field was a nice '50 fastback with a Chrysler V-8 conversion. The gearshift was very cleverly built into the heater control. I was impressed....
  7. I've had this car since 1985. In earlier years, I'd start it occasionally and drive it up and down my street. Mostly garage-kept, recently started the engine after 20+ years, runs off gas can.The good:Complete car including both rear fender skirts and all 4 Magnum wheelsVery rare, only 3,400 made383 engine with Torqueflite transmissionOriginal factory red paint with black vinyl interiorIncludes excellent used rear bumper to replace the one that's on the car nowReplacement exhaust system inlcudedHas keys and clear title in my name so no paperwork hasslesStill has Certi-Card in holder under hoodA real eye-catcher when restoredThe bad:There's no denying that it's a project car...needs full restorationRear floor on passenger's side rusted outLocated in Freehold, NJ. $6,500.00.
  8. Not full-size by 1970's standards, but definitely full size today.....1971-1977 B-bodies (Coronet/ Charger/Satellite/Cordoba). Better fuel economy than full-size models (aka C-bodies). Fairly bulletproof mechanically (the 4-doors were the darlings of the taxi and police markets) and roomy. A well-equipped four-door or station wagon is much less expensive than a two-door version, and can be bought reasonably if you take the time to search. As with most cars, rust is the enemy so a western or southern car would be a better bet. Personally, I'd like a stick-shift Aspen or Volare, any body style as long as it's reasonably priced. Still kick myself for not buying one new....
  9. Van conversion places are also a great source for the wall-to-wall rubber matting they pull out before they add carpeting. You can cut them down to fit smaller cars.
  10. My wife is amazed at some of the things I've sold...sometimes I am, too. The extra lunch money doesn't hurt!
  11. I listed it on eBay for local pickup only and some guy from Buffalo wanted it badly. My son was attending RIT and brought the tow bar up after spring break; they met at Batavia Downs and that was that.
  12. This is a very old thread. It's been gone for several years.
  13. I was the assistant service manager at a Lincoln-Mercury dealership in the late 1980's. One of our customers was an elderly woman who came in one day complaining that the horn blew when she was making turns. It turns out that she injured herself and had a cast on her wrist that would catch the horn button whenever she made a turn.
  14. I had a similar experience years ago. When I was selling new Fords in the 1980's, a woman came in with a '76 Granada to trade. The odometer read 14,000 miles and the interior was excellent, but it sat under a tree and the white paint looked gray due to the sap and moss stains. The used car manager took one look and figured 115K on the clock, and valued it accordingly. I bought the Granada for my girlfriend at the time; it ran really well for her until she killed the engine. The former owner later told me it really was a low mileage car.
  15. You should post this on the P15-D24 website. I'd bet lots of members there would contribute as well.
  16. Does Rock Auto list fuel tanks for your truck? If they do, there is usually a picture to go along with it (under the 'more info' pushbutton for the part) which may help. Harold
