1. Hey Phil your NAA Jubilee is "haunted" by a previous owner, keeping the clutch plate from sliding on the transmision shaft. Bill
2. Hey Phil I have a Jubilee that sat in a field for 30 years and after I got it running the clutch wouldn't engage, so I put it in gear and after awhile it would work. The problem was with the lingage on the left brake rod and its connection to the clutch lingage. Zman
3. Hey JB make sure you have the "LONG ONE" pressure plate [10 inch] with the adjustable fingers. Then get a 10 inch clutch disc.they used on pick ups which have thicker facings. Also some ford tractor disc's have thicker clutch facings like the 53 Jubilee. The Basic pressure plate [Long One semi centrifical] used on all H 12's are hard to find but, they were also used on Ford tractors. One other item you may need to measure your flywheel thickness and see if has been re surfaced too many times, this would also cause the length of your adjusting rod to change. zman
4. Hey try a new line, possibly the double flared end of your old line has been over tghtened causing the flare not to seat, new lines are available at NAPA. Zman
5. Phil I looked at a 40 Hudson and compared it to My 40 Z and they were the same, spring clips and all, Z man
6. Some thing wrong with this picture, I thnk you said you have mehanical lifter's. my question is was the Cam re-ground for the mechanical lifters if not you may have to put your hydraulic lifters back in. Z man
7. Thank's for the Plug Phil It's like a "safety Pin" So far a 100 people or so have set's, even some farmers bought them , but want a 5/8th's now for the rear wheel's. Z man

9. Phil got the middle Z cleaned up so here is another one. I called the dealer in Troy Pa.and he recall's the car They have to keep records on all sales in PA.so it was interesting to say the least, The manager said the last time it was in his shop was in 99 and it had 9,800 miles on it, This MZ is basically a standard model with only AC, heater Automatic, and back window defrosters with the 6 cylinder engine
10. Phil I'll have to forward the Pic's separately, since I can't put them both on a reply. Bill
11. Ok I'll take some photo's, I've been looking over the engine components to verify what has been replaced so far only the air cleaner and oil filter. I called the original owners family, who said that their granfather passed away and it was signed over to their aunt when it had 9 K miles on it, she also past away and was later given to a charity organization, but how it got into the junk yard they didn't know.I also called called the Troy PA. Lincoln Mercury Dealer, since the Key ring had their name on it, They could only provide me with the name of the family that purchased it new.which is required by state law. Will take th e pic's Zman
12. Hey guy you need to put a mechanical gage on it that will tell you if your electric gage is at fault. Other wise it could be a nmber of thing's,or you may have to remove the intake manifold and check the oil relief valve.Let us know the result's with a mechanicl gage installed. Z man
13. Found in a Junkyard,it was in the weeds, and as i got closer It looked like a no.5.Pushed the weeds down, windows were all up,the title was on the front seat with the key's opened the front door, unlatched the hood, it was all there but the battery, looked it all over again as I needed parts for my Fairmont Futura. Went back to talk to the Junkman and asked if I could buy the complete vehicle,he said yes 100 bucks but I would have to tow it out of there, Ok here's your money . Went home got a battery with my brother stuck it in turn the key and all things lit up the Gas gage read full, lubes were Ok took the air cleaner off sprayed some fluid in the carb and she coughed and it started no flats.baked her up and drove it home Ha! The odometer read 15,310 miles on it, when I got it home I couldn't believe my eyes on the condition, just about perfect in every way.Let's see I figure about 17 0r 18 galons of gas @ $3 bucks a gallon I got a good deal :crazy:Zman
14. Hey Guy your good to go, I recently had the rod's balanced on a 41 engine though and the crank shaft to see how good they were designed, really excellent. Z man
15. Gosh I have to send Dave the Editor of LZOC a great thank you for his write up on the wheel guides,in the April LZOC Magazine. The responce for oders was ambitious to say the least, I have enough to last a few day's so a new production run is in order, which takes about 5 day's. Orders were mostly fromLZOC members, but several were from other Ford club members! So it seems the word get's around. Thank's Zman
16. Did You send Money and fill out the proper forms, I got one in less the 10 day's Zman

18. Finally decided to get the Lincoln Zephyr record for my 1940 Z after all this time. All the info is correct, for motor No.key's Axle, radio, stone guards, interior etc. Does not mention the Lincoln Zephyr heater though must have been installed later. Was built 6/24/1940, shipped 7/1/1940 shipped to Houston No.[385], sales order no.857342. I wondered possibly that the No. 385 is the dealer name and location? I bought the car in Baltimore in 1946,probably owned by some one in the Military like Me at the time. Who ever owned it, I recall that the front ash tray was never used, but the back Ash tray had a cigar butt in it Bak in those day's cars were sold by Bill of sale in most states. Zman

21. Ok let's see some past exp. That starter is heavy and requires a small clip hanger that fit's on the top long bolt that secures the starter to the bell housing and the other end is serured to the closest pan bolt, Ths will keep the starter from binding Also if it's a 12 volt system make sure that it's negative grounded to the bell housing and not the other way around Zman
