Randy, can only imagine my car is getting rodded. too much work for a purist. the frame has rot at the perches in the rear and will need to be totally boxed or a new frame dropped underneath- the body looks "cool" but that is about it and so much work. as you said, buy the best you can afford and 40 fords are the darling of the car collector world, along with 57 chevys.

they dont go for much David. that is about the right price if there is no rust out underneath. range 4500-12000. all depending on condition and cars from the 70s

very nice deal Randy. Your car should sell very quickly. Well kept. I sold a 40 last week on the bay wo motor and trans and plenty of rust-needing everything! it went for 5500. and was a #5 car..........only good thing it had was "patina"

David, I had a collection of about 30, twenty five years ago. Picked up a 1906 PA three digit at the local flea when I was about 12 years old for 9. SO one day, I look up on the wall and totally lost interest and sold them all off. I sold the 3 digit for 650. 626 I thinks............ was the plate # anyway, it would be worth double today, but that was 22 yrs ago when I sold them. who knows if they would have been worth anything today or in the future, as hummels have become worthless, and once brought great $. dont think millenials will give a rats arse about porcelain plates in the future.

Ive owned this car for close to 15 years and just dont drive it much, so up for sale it goes! going to need a full tune up- but starts right up and can be driven on a trailer. Brakes work fine. Blue exterior with palomino interior. comes with brand new carpet set, that needs to be installed. clean title in my name. Battery is relaively new. price is firm at 3500. I can store for a short while, as I have 12 acres. tires have very little wear, but need to be replaced from age. AC does not work, nor does the odometer, which is a common thing among sls. with a full tune up- you can drive this car anywhere! Comes with hard top and soft top frame is in the boot, but will need new cloth. minor rust-drivers floor has been replaced. rdz69@aol.com
