  1. The people selling the car need to explain how a 38-year-old car accumulates only 77 miles.
  2. Not much ocean air in Wyoming!😄 But the photos are not Wyoming, even though the license plate is! Standard shift or Dynaflow?
  3. Markus, I dug out all of the ring & pinion parts that I have and the only thing I have for 1949 is the ring & pinion set with carrier riveted to the ring gear, and the pinion gear attached to pinion shaft. 4.454 ratio, new old stock, in the original box. Pete Phillips
  4. The rubber seals for those are on the door, not on the areas circled. Looks like you already have it on the white car's door. Pete Phillips, BCA #7338
  5. Pretty sure I have a new old stock 4.45 set of rear end gears, but I"m in Texas, USA.
  6. Not mine, but rare, one-year-only engine. Somebody needs this! Located near Austin, Texas. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/224306466910016/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A686b0211-b3ff-4673-8457-9971c91c2ba4
  7. I know there is a difference in where the hole is located for the hood pins to come into the hinge, between 1949 and 1950, but can't recall which year this one is. Have a friend who wants 1949 hood hinges. Can anyone verify if this is for 1949? Pete Phillips, BCA #7338
  8. I apologize. The photos did not show up when I looked at your original post. Looks like early to late 1940s to me, probably '47 or earlier. Pete Phillips
  9. This is an original book for 1927 Buicks, 63 pages, 8 x 11 inches, lots of diagrams and illustrations, wiring diagrams, engine descriptions, maintenance requirements, etc. Not a reproduction. No missing pages. $49 plus postage. Pete Phillips, BCA #7338 Leonard, TX.
  10. Without any photo, most guesses are going to be just a shot in the dark.
  11. Guy who works for me was able to repair the old gear today with a tap and small all-threads to pull the crack together. Pete
  12. I just called Bob's Automobilia and they are completely out of the gear sets, and won't have any for a few months until they get new ones made.
  13. This small throttle gear at bottom of steering column on a 1921 six is broken. I hate to buy the whole set for $110 when I only need this one. It's about the size of a quarter. Anybody have one they would sell me? Yes, I know that Bob's Automobilia has the whole set, but that's the only way they come, apparently. Pete Phillips, BCA #7338 Leonard, TX.
  14. I guess I wasn't clear with my question. I'm wanting to know where the wire from the spotlight to underneath the dashboard is placed. Does it just loosely go underneath the left lower corner of the dash, or should a hole be drilled in the dash to pass it through? Should there be a bracket or holder of some sort that keeps in place as it goes under the dashboard? Does the wire get attached to the windshield post on its way down to the dashboard? In other words, do I have it routed correctly as shown in my photos? Pete Phillips, BCA #7338
  15. No switch on the spotlight, so we have to buy and install one on the dashboard. Pete
  16. Can someone show me where to route the wire for the newly-installed spotlight on this 1921 6-cylinder touring car?
  17. Still available, according to the Facebook listing.
  18. Well, that makes sense because that's what it was labelled as when I bought it. Then I sent photos of it to long-time 1927-1928 Buick expert Tony Bult, and he told me it was a 1928, so I changed the description, assuming he knew what he was talking about. Now I"ll change it back.
  19. Anybody need a 1926 Buick Standard radiator? It has many small leaks and will probably need to be re-cored, but these things don't grow on trees. $100 plus shipping from Texas. Thought it was a 1928, but I have been corrected=1926. Pete Phillips, BCA #7338
  20. No, I did not "throw away" the ball joints. I told the next owner about them. I chose not to remove them myself because the car would become unmovable for me if I did that. I do not have a fork lift to lift and load or unload the car. Also, the entire front suspension of the car was buried in the mud since 1971, so every nut, bolt, and joint was frozen, and I have a few other things to do in my life like running a business and editing a magazine. Pete Phillips
  21. Car is sold and gone now, but I saved every part that I could get off without destroying something. If you still need something, maybe I have it. Pete Phillips
