  1. We will have this car FOR SALE in Auburn this weekend at the Car Corral at Auctions America (Formerly Kruse) Auction Park this weekend. Come on down and see it! 734-730-4274
  2. THIS CAR HAS BEEN SOLD. THANK YOU.1932 Lincoln KA 5 Passenger Victoria. This is on the 136" wheelbase chassis and has a body by Murray. While it is one of 250 believed to have been made, only 7 are accounted for between the Lincoln Owner's Club and the Classic Car Club of America's rosters combined. This car was owned by the same owner from about 1970 until recently. From 1970 until 1985 he did a frame off, restoration on the car and drove and showed the vehicle on a regular basis. During his near 40 year ownership, the former owner created an extensive file folder on this car keeping receipts, correspondence letters, historical notes, etc which will be included with the sale of the car.In the last couple of years, the car was both mechanically and cosmetically upgraded as needed including chrome, rebuilt carburetor and fuel system, new wiring, tires, paint upgrades, etc. Today, the car appears extremely nice inside and out and is very well detailed. The car starts easily, idles well and the engine is extremely quiet at all speeds. The clutch and transmission are smooth, the steering is tight and responsive and the brakes work well and stop the car straight and square. The paint is extremely nice showing only minimal wear in the expected areas. The door fit and hood fit is excellent with even margins and gaps. The chrome is excellent. The dashboard is complete with all of its proper gauges. The interior is the proper and matching blue cloth and is extremely nice including the door panels, headliner, etc.Overall, this is an extremely well presented and ready to use Lincoln. The price is xx,000.00. The car has a current and clear title and is located near Jefferson, Wisconsin. Please call 734-730-4274 or email:motoringicons@hotmail.com to schedule a viewing and text drive or for more photos and information. Thank you.

  4. What causes the confusion is that a Model B engine has a cylinder head with a big letter "C" embossed, so, over the years, people have assumed it is a "C" engine, which does not exist. The four cylinder Model B engine was used in cars and trucks from 1932 to 1934. By 1933 and especially by 1934, it was mainly found in pickup trucks and the larger ton trucks. Production of the Model B engine itself continued well into the 1940s and at some point several thousand engines were shipped overseas, including a large batch that went to Russia. About 30 or so years ago, a large stash of complete, New Old Stock, never used Model B engines were found overseas and brought back to the US. I remember seeing a bunch of them at a vintage Ford parts dealer in California still in their original wood crates. I believe their are three crankshaft versions: a non-counterbalanced crank, a crank shaft with swedged-on counterweights and one that was built with counterweights.

  8. Like most Model T speedsters, this car is assembled from a variety of different year Model T parts The stock Model T engine is from the 1920s and runs well on both magneto and battery. The rear end is stock Model T. In a period fashion, the rear crossmember has been raised to give the car a racy, lowered look. It has a great, period modified front axle to lower the front end. The wood wheels are extremely solid and have near new tires on them. The body is well built with new Rootlieb speedster fenders, a nice cowling with a brass windshield, etc. The paint is very nice as is the seat upholstery. This car has been recently serviced and runs and drives well with a quiet (for a Model T!) transmission, good brakes, etc. It is ready to use and enjoy and can be easily "personalized" to your own liking. It is titled as a 1916 and has a clear and current Michigan title. Lots of fun for 9,000.00. Located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Please call 734-730-4274 to schedule a viewing or email: motoringicons@hotmail.com Thank you.

  10. I'll second what everyone else is saying, the big Full Classics are really fun driving machines-I have driven thousands of miles in them. They are certainly different, but that is what makes them fun. Sometimes they get a bad reputation as being " truck like" and difficult to drive and steer but that is usually the result of a particular person's experience with a particular car that has not been well sorted out or has been incorrectly sorted out or is just totally wore out. A well sorted car can really surprise you regarding driving and handling.
  11. Ron- Thanks again for bringing the Kissell. We look forward to having one of your other Kissells next year!
  12. I would have to agree with the dealership on this one. Dealerships are really struggling to make a living now days-and even struggling just to keep their dealerships open. They have a lot of overhead to maintain and can't afford to be giving out free information. Maybe you should try a junk yard.
  13. Here are more current engine photos showing the rebuilt and correct carburetor re-installed, etc. Please let me know if you have any other questions. 734-730-4274 or motoringicons@hotmail.com
  14. When the photos were taken, the carburetor was out for a rebuild (as was the gas tank, etc). It is the correct Stearns carburetor and was working great after the rebuild was completed. Please feel free to call me with any other questions. 734-730-4274 or email directly at: motoringicons@hotmail.com Thanks.
  15. I was in Pennsylvania a couple of weeks ago and Enterprise Rent A Car gave me a new Fiat 500 for my "economy car" rental (read: cheapest available). It was really a lot of fun to drive and more of a car than I thought it would be. It had the optional paddle shift transmission which was fun to play with as well.
  16. Btt and price reduced to 40,000.00 "as-is and where-is and non-running"
  17. btt- Selling it "as-is and where-is and non-running" for 40,000.00.
  18. Yes, it was a really great show this year. Having been a judge and a committee member for this event for a number of years, it is nice to see that the show continues to grow in its new location. Thanks to all those who attended as exhibitors and spectators. We promise an even better event next year!
  19. This is the center section and seat frame for a 1920s or 1930s phaeton or touring car-the part where the back of the front seat cushion attaches and the front panel that you would see if you were sitting in the back seat. It came from a collection where there were a lot of Packard and Cadillac cars and parts, but I am not sure what it is from. It has a storage area on the back for side curtains as well as provisions for courtesy lights.Seat width at the back is 39 inches riser is 46 1/4 wide at the top of arm extensions back seat riser is 22 3/4 rear seat back compartment is 27 1/2 x 4 inches passenger side curtosey light receptical seat is 18 inches deep front to back. It is in really nice and well preserved original condition. This could be a helpful and useful addition if you are building a high quality touring car body. Price is 650.00.Email:motoringicons@hotmail.com or call 734-730-4274 PS- Any help in identifying this would be greatly appreciated.
