  1. Jerry if you are looking for a nice one I see where Dennis ORourke's is for sale he lives in Missouri and I have seen the car and it is very nice and he really has babied it. I think the interior is blue, not grey but you might want to contact him. Chuck
  2. Tammy magnets are about the best way but be carfulnot to drag them across the paint when putting them on or off, they will leave scratch marks. If the magnet is powerful enough use a bit of silk or other material between the paint and the magnet and it will be fine. It is human nature to just grab them when everything is over and they just pull them along the surface for a short distance and then you get the scratches
  3. Thanks everybody but it is sold Thanks
  4. Thanks everybody but it is sold Thanks
  5. Jerry I am not sure I will have to get out the policy, you raise some interesting points. I will check how to handle things if I am on the road> More later
  6. Jerry there are some restrictions and here they are Cars must be kept in a locked garage no drivers under the age of 25 there in no mileage restrictions the actual policy states the the cars must be used in exhibitions, parades, club activities of other functions of public interest or to and from club functions. It also covers the cars of trips to the Nationals and it is not used for regular day to day driving, and you have back up transportation for day to day there is also towing for trip interruption coverage and glass breakage I insure both cars for less that $400.00 a year. and my wife and drive one anytime she wants to and she told me to say that
  7. Jerry I have both of my cars insured with Grundy with and agreed value policy with no deductable. The cars are always garaged and are not driven daily. I have never had a claim so I cant tell what they would do but they would be on the hook for the agreed value. most of the issues with ins companys come from daily drivers. With a car as nice as yours I would look for an agreed value policy
  8. I have a pewter model for sale. see Reatta buy and sell for details Thanks
  9. Well in the attempt to get all of the stuff for a Reatta I have ended up with 2 Pewter models. I owned one for several years and now own one with the stand. I am going to sell the one without the stand to the first person who makes me an offer of $250.00. I know that it is a lot of money but I had to pay over $400.00 for the one with the stand. If you have an interest contact me for photos or what ever. Not a lot of these around. Thanks Chuck Kerls booreatta@cox.net 316-655-1099

  11. F14 is correct the wiring is already in tact for the 16 way seat for the drivers side, but if you change the drivers side you will also need to change the other seat. The bolsters move in and out on the drivers seat but they look like dummy bolsters on the pass seat. Non 16 way seats are simply stiched.
  12. Jerry what do you mean the sun never shines, It was beautyful for the Nationals this past July. You guys are sooooooo lucky, what a great place to live
  13. this may be a dumb question, but is the boot released? if it is then the trunk will not open. make sure the boot is locked and then try the trunk. I was dumb enough to find this out the hard way.
  14. Jim I hope you drive that better than you drive your car, can you take it thru a parking lot LOL. Look out Jim is on the loose, you will have to tell everyone about the parking lot, I wont BOO
  15. Tammy I have used Wizards for many years and thought that it worked well I always liked it until I tried Zano. My car show buddies use both. The biggest advantage that Wizards has is that you can buy it locally in most towns.
  16. I would check the connections on the underside of the drivers seat, it might be unplugged. If it is not that then the switch is faulty. But I would check the connections first. You might have to unbolt the seat. If I remember there are only 4 bolts, move the seat all the way forward to get to all of the bolts
  17. Can you provide more information on the seat?
  18. And then nobody would know what you were talking about, I guess that is the way the world is today.
  19. Barney I used the term JUNK YARD the other day and was told that the proper term now is RECYCLE PARTS CENTER. Dont ya just hate not knowing how to talk these days, I guess that I never had that book learnin in my youth. I keep getting my mords all wixed.
  20. did you ever work on the headlight motors on the fiero, how hard, looks simular to Reatta, but I have not gotten into it and any advise would help e-mail off this discussion group booreatta@cox.net thanks
  21. Thanks I am just getting started with this project. Chuck
  22. Looks like a great show, and it is always good to see the Fieros come out to play. I have an 86 that needs restoring and I am looking for a source of good cheap parts. I need headlight motors, sail windows, side trim etc. The Fieros will some day be a classic
  23. I was thinking about doing the GN set up, but dont know where to start. I am not that good a mech stuff. I have always had faster cars and I have always wanted the Reatta to get up and move faster. I guess that we are never happy.
  24. Well Nic I have to confess the red Reatta vert is none other that T-Mader here in Wichita. We were lucky to have the Buick show cars here in Wichita for a one day show and some of the other cars are part of the local guys. I was lucky to be able to get a photo of the Y-job with both of my cars and put it on the Frapper site at the top of discussion posts. I thought that it was a cool shot. It was a thril to have the Buick cars here in Wichita. If I could figure how to post the photo I would. Chuck aka Booreatta
