  4. Cliff good job the project looks great. I know that your weather must be great this time of year, so why is the top up. Looks like a really great job and I understand that you have the only Reatta drop top in NZ. Hope to see that car one of these days. Chuck
  5. Barney you can add the T-Bird Turbo coupe to the list.
  6. when is the Reatta Rendezvous? I hope it is on Thursday nite. The host chapter has a cool moonlight cruise scheduled for friday nite. Who is planning the Rendezvous this year? It would appear that Thursday nite is open unless you are a member of the Buick driving tour. All you Reatta owners sign up for the cruise and we can have another cool get togather I plan to be there.........
  7. The car looks really nice but the LB does not mean that it was a Lotus body. When I look up the vin number in the manual, the L is the model year and the B is the plant where the car was built. B=Lansing Michigan. I dont think that it has anything to do with Lotus body, but I could be wrong, but if Barrett Jackson is publishing the wrong info then it is sad. They are supposed to be the experts. If they get this wrong how much else can they get wrong. If I were spending many thousands of bucks I would want to know exactly what I was buying. The guy who purchased the car got a nice car but he doesnt have the whold truth.
  8. it has the 16 way seats but I couldnt tell from the photos if it had a cd or not, was any one able to get the vin #
  9. well it looks like the car sold for $19000.00 They didnt say the mileage, does anybody know how many miles?
  10. Barney we just finished working on a headlight that we did earler and it had a metal to metal clang when the light closed. As we discussed it might be the rubber stopper, so we tore it down again and replaced the rubber. still clangs. everything works as it should except for the metal to metal clang. Anyone out there have any ideas? Dont know where to go next. Thanks
  11. dont understand the question? photo is blurry but from what I can see it looks like a trunk latch, Is there something wrong with it? cant tell

  14. Perfect choice, cars with no backseats prevents becoming grandparents until the time is right. All of my kids had cars with no back seats, what a concept.
  15. Had some old "My Classic Csr" shows the Dennis Gage one DVR'd and he was at a show in Jefferson Wisconsin. Dont know if the show was this year or not but it was a rainy day and it looked to be early spring. The car looks to be a 90 it is whire with black belting, white wall tires. The wheels look like the right wheels. It has a front license tag and it looks like the Buick Eagle. Any body claim the car? It was just a quick shot but the car looked good.......

  21. I am in the process of replacing my top and I am looking for a source of new weatherstriping. Also I have a broken part. The part is the control arm that actuates the B pillar and the 5 bow extension in and out while raising and lowereing the top. It also keep the top off of the car body. I am hoping that some one has car that is being parted out or has a source for the part. The part needed is on the drivers side. Any help would be appreciated

    lug nut locks

Well from what I understand you are going to have to use a chisel to remove the old locks from the salvage cars. The locks were made by a company named McGard and they carried a color code. If you know what color the key was you might be able to find one, Then again you may be able to contact McGard for help. Their address is 852 Kensington Ave Buffalo, New York It had a GM part number of 9591444. I have not been able to find out just how many colors there were but it was at least 6 that I know of. Check for a key in the cars at the jack site in the trunk. There was a cut out in the rubber that held the jack Good Luck
  23. wishing everyone on this discussion group a Happy Thanksgiving and lets all take a moment today and think of our kids fighting around the world and thank them so we have the freedoms that we have. THANK YOU

    plastic keys

The plastic keys can be cut by any locksmith, but if you have a 90 or 91 the only plastic key that can be cut is the door key. The 88 and 89 came with the ignition key and also can still be cut. There are still generic plastic GM keys for all years
