  3. First of all THANKS to the members who have helped me ID stuff before. This is a great forum. I do not have a reference for DELCO bushings, so here is a set of rubber bushings for DELCO Bushing Kit number 750. The can is marked General Motors Corp 1954. Thanks Dan Rembert, SC just a little south of Camden
  4. Another issue to look at is what are your strong areas of expertise. Are you going to do all the co-ordination and hire out the work, do just the mechanical, ie frame, engine, brakes, and electrical and have the body work done by someone who can fabricate if necessary. I know of a very sucessful restoration shop that only does the mechanical and electrical, and schedules the body work with a local shop. Hires out the interior, unless a kit is avilable. He works on any old vehicle that comes in. Dan

  16. I had a '53 T&C that is now in a museum in Japan. I found parts from a DeSoto wagon of the same vintage. They didn't call it a Town and Country. We would like to see pix of your car. There was a '53 T&C on ebay for $1000 that was restoreable, but it was in California, to far for me to ship. Dan Marx 803-425-8649

  21. YOU CAN WALK VERY EASILY AROUND AUBURN. DON'T LET THE FACT THAT A BUNCH OF "BETTER THAN YOU PEOPLE" THAT THINK THEY NEED A GOLF CART. IT IS A MONEY MAKING THING FOR KRUSE. THEY DON'T RESPECT THE VENDORS WITH ALL THE DUST CREATED AND THE SPEED THEY DRIVE EM. IF YOU HAVE A HANDICAPPED STICKER, GREAT. IF NOT, GET OFF YOU OVERSIZED DUFF AND WALK!!! WHEN I INFORMED THE SECURITY PERSON ABOUT THE GOLF CART PROBLEM, I WAS INFORMED THAT THEY COULDN'T LEAVE THEIR POST. FOR THE VENDORS AT AUBURN THE CARTS ARE A PAIN THE #%$@**!!!!! DAN
  22. As I understand it, an umbrella policy us just that, "an umbrella" that covers all possible liabilities, which includes your classic cars. Why would you not have all your possible liabilities covered. Just my thoughts. Dan
  23. I recently added an "umbrella policy" for all my insurance and I had to be insured by the Antique Auto Insurance carrier specified by my primary carrier (USAA). After having Hagerty for many years, I was required to change for the insurance "umbrella policy". Hagerty provided great service when I was insured with them. So, be aware what your primary carrier requires, if any. Dan Marx
