  1. Told ya🤣 He'll cannonball that thing right up to you.
  2. All right side glass and trim installed. Rear glass trim cleaned and installed. I had to fabricate new clips for the corner pieces, as they were all rusted or broke off when removed. I made them out of an old piece of stainless trim and stainless hardware. Antenna installed and wired. Few things left on my list: Cut and buff trunk lid Install tar paper stuff on underside of lid Install hood and trunk lid Repair and polish all stainless side trim and portholes Reseal transmission pan Exhaust guy needs to tweak the rear end of system to fit better near bumper. It’s “ok” but it’s rubbing on the bumper brackets.
  3. The last two times we've used them, their service is nearly same-day pickup from initial call. Pretty wild.
  4. Sorry about that Matt. Did you call Autobahn?
  5. You're right about blowing the budget...but the results are nearly unbelievable. I did this with a 55 Pontiac a few years ago and Steering Wheel Bob did the work. It was almost $1k but there aren't really any other options out there. It's not like you can go to the junkyard and pick up a nice one.
  6. Installing front and rear glass trim has to be one of the scariest things to do on fresh paint. Adjusting side glass with parts from 5 different cars is a real SOB. Just the front trim install and side glass install and adjust represents 8 hours. And 5 new gray hairs.
  7. These things look soooooo plain without the center trim.
  8. Everyone who comes through the shop is mesmerized by the color. It's a striking color combo. And the interior will be the icing on the cake!
  9. Headlights, marker lights, and front bumper installed. Rear bumper is getting assembled. Needed to take a break from the 57 and do some troubleshooting on a 66 Toronado this PM. Tomorrow, hopefully back to the 57.
  10. Beware the Flight Pitch transmission...... Jim Hughes has cores ready for rebuild, but they average $1500 a pop, with a core swap.
  11. Front and rear glass is in. Trunk weatherstrip is in. Wiper bezels and cowl screen in. Time to clock out.
  12. Why see it in pictures when you can see it for the first time LIVE in Chicago?😁
  13. I hadn't asked Frank yet. Thanks for the suggestion.
  14. Full steam ahead on the unveil November 20-21... www.mcacn.com
  15. This photo popped up in my Facebook memories this morning. Quite a transformation...
  16. Buffing was finished Saturday morning, so I started sticking stuff onto the car. I will likely start assembling the front clip this week.
  17. I didn't have to do anything to this interior except vacuum the carpet and scrub the floor mats, thankfully! It would scare me to even get a drop of water on cloth like this because it stains so easily. So when I was moving or driving the car, I would either have clean clothes on, or a clean towel to sit on.
  18. It's going to a guy in TX. I'm not sure what his intentions are, but he paid top dollar for it. So that makes me think he's not going to demo derby or daily drive it.
  19. Nope...I recall him being very particular about detailing the car...like disassembling taillight assemblies, etc to clean and reassemble. Welcome to the Centurion club!
