  1. Steve, 1926 and 1927 Stutzes came with Timken Hydrostatic brakes which used rubber bags filled with water. Almost all Stutzes have been converted to hydraulic brakes. I have a Stutz with "water" brakes and they work just fine, but most people are not willing to go to the expense of restoring them. One of my 1927 Stutzes is a brougham and it is, by far, my favorite car. Steve 1925 Stutz sedan 1926 Stutz sedan 1927 Stutz sedan 1926 Stutz limousine 1927 Stutz Brougham 1929 Blackhawk sedan
  2. Bob, If you are just looking for a good home for it, I would be happy to add it to my collection. I have 6 Stutzes, two of which are 1927 models, a sedan and a brougham. Steve
  3. Bob, You could put it on eBay and let everyone on the Stutz forum know that it is up for auction. I have a large collection of these kinds of sales contracts and bills of sale for Stutzes, some of which I got on eBay. Steve
  4. Victor, Mike Barry's email is mike@mpbarry.com. Bill used to have his email go to someone else (niece, daughter, assistant?) but I don't have her email. Steve
  5. Victor, Thank you for the photos. Not much is said about Stutz in other parts of the world except maybe Australia and England. It is very interesting to see that Stutz was popular around the world. Steve
  6. Victor, I enjoyed the video. It is great to see someone young into old cars, especially Stutzes. I guess I never thought about you having a son old enough to drive. Here is a website about a Stutz being raced in 1938. I don't know what is says since it's in Spanish. "http://antigosverdeamarelo.blogspot.com/2010/01/automobilismo.html" Steve Pugh

    Robbin-Chrome

Stutz promoted a new type of finish called Robbin-Chrome at the 1925 New York and Chicago auto shows. Two of the five Stutzes displayed, a phaeton and a sedan (1925 Series 695 Sportbrohm), were finished in the novel Robbins-sourced treatment. The Jan 8th and 23rd, 1925 issues of Motor Age described the Robbin-Chrome as "unusual and distinctive in that a mottled design of no uniform pattern was created on a smooth dark undercoat. An exceptionally high luster obtained with a special varnish gave the bodies a polished marble appearance." Has anyone ever seen this paint? Is there a decent picture of it anywhere? Steve
  11. All, Thank you for the help and the photos. Steve Pugh
  12. I believe that the "hub caps" are actually the electric motors.
  13. Here is a photo of the door latch that I need.
  14. Dave, Yes, I need the door pull and the little lever door handle that sits top edge of the door. These are both in the hammered finish. How much are you asking? can you send a photo? Where are you located. Thank you. Steve
  15. Does anyone have a picture of a gas cap for a 1927 11B that they can post so that I will know what to look for at swap meets. I am also looking for a door pull and a door latch handle for the same car. Thanks. Steve
  16. Hi, Does anyone out there have a gas cap for a 1927 11B? Thanks. Steve
  17. Since we are listing Stutz engine colors, Series AA (1926-1927) engines are painted a light grey. Steve

    11-B Spark Plug

Tom, Thank you for the information. There are some MOTORCRAFT TT10 spark plugs on ebay that say they replace Champion W18 plugs. Would these work as well or do you recommend I stick with the Champion W18? Steve

    DV32 Special

The car was in Palos Verdes California. The engine number is DV33134. I ended up with a bunch of 1926-1927 Stutz AA parts that were in the garage with it. Everything else I know is listed in the ad on the website. Steve Pugh
  24. Rodger, Is there any plans to reprint your Stutz fire engine book? You may recall that I wrote to you earlier this year about my 1924 k-3 pumper. Steve Pugh
