  13. Bad news is that the deadline for judging registration at Hershey was September 15th. However, if you are a qualified judge, you might want to contact the Chief Judge for the Hershey meet: Marie Lesher, (717) 274-0602. There might be a shortage of judges registered for the meet. Good Luck!

  15. If you can't find NORS gaskets, here's a suggestion for "revitalizing" old copper/asbestos gaskets.<BR>First, soak them in water. Probably for more than a day. <BR>Next, freeze them. This is supposed to expand the asbestos.<BR>Finally, dry them out.<BR>This was offered in a tech seminar at the AACA Annual meeting a few years ago. I haven't tried it, but it makes sense.<BR>It has to be better than just re-using the old gaskets.<BR>Also, a method was suggested for cleaning old gaskets: Use a solution of vinegar and salt with steel wool.<BR>Good Luck!!

  19. Another solution is to use 5-gallon buckets of water. Just dump out the water when you take down on Saturday.<BR>Incidentaly, has anyone calculated the total weight required to hold down a 10 X 20 canopy in a 40-MPH wind?
  20. I believe that the DuPont that was owned by Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Smith Sr. is now in the Swigert Museun in Huntingdon, PA. I believe that it's there on loan and has also been restored. I remember the car from the early 1960's when they owned it and lived in State College, PA. <BR>Good Luck!!
  21. There in one tax benifit that is available and that is by donating your car to a qualified organization. For example, the AACA museum. You need to review this with your tax professional before you do it to determine the amount of benifit, and also have the vehicle appraised.
