1. Another solution is to use 5-gallon buckets of water. Just dump out the water when you take down on Saturday.
Incidentaly, has anyone calculated the total weight required to hold down a 10 X 20 canopy in a 40-MPH wind?
 2. I believe that the DuPont that was owned by Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Smith Sr. is now in the Swigert Museun in Huntingdon, PA. I believe that it's there on loan and has also been restored. I remember the car from the early 1960's when they owned it and lived in State College, PA.
Good Luck!!
 3. There in one tax benifit that is available and that is by donating your car to a qualified organization. For example, the AACA museum. You need to review this with your tax professional before you do it to determine the amount of benifit, and also have the vehicle appraised.

 19. This won't be of any help, but the answer to your questions depends on what the seller is willing to accept. The least risk on the part of the seller is, obviously, cash. There was a horror story going around last year about a purchase made with a counterfit
cashier's check. When the seller took it to the bank on Monday, he had a very unpleasant surprise. For what it's worth, I'd only accept cash or a cashier's ckeck that I could take to the bank before the buyer took off with the goods.
 20. Ho There,
It ain't over yet!!
I'm speaking from experience, specifically the 2001 Founder's tour. The Monday tour was checked out on Sunday. You guessed it!! There was a detour on the return from Watkins Glen.
The only way to beat this is for the tourmeister to contact ALL highway jurisdictions and get the schedules for planned maintenance. Also get names and leave your name and phone number in case things change, and yes, they will change.
Good luck to all brave future tourmeisters.
Bill B.
21. Take a look at the HCCA tech forum. They have a recent post on friction material.
www.hcca.org/tech.html/#tp
Good Luck!!!
 22. I'm reviewing the daily tour schedule for the Michigan Glidden and see that there is an "International" train trip into Canada on Monday. Tourists should be informed about the documentation of US citizenship required for re-entry into the USA. From what I understand, a birth certificate copy with a raised seal, a passport (either current or expired) or current immigration papers are adequate. Driver's licenses do not qualify. Further information can be obtained from travel agents, or your AAA.
 23. Does anyone have a source for replacement oil pump gears for pre-1920 autos?
Please e-mail, gnbboudway@msn.com , or post a reply.
Thanhs, Bill B.
