  1. Hi, With that amount of money at risk, I would invest in an appraisal. Check in the classified section of Hemmings or any advertisers in Antique Automobile and contract for a qualified individual to do an inspection.
  2. Hi, Are there any timing marks on the flywheel or crankshaft pulley for timing the '26 Chrysler G-70 engine? I have the instructions from the manual that uses the #6 cylinder at TDC, bit the pipe plug for access to the top of the piston is damaged and I can't remove it. Any other suggestions? Thanks,
  3. Hi, Don't know if it's still in print, but Hemmings published a Vintage Auto Almanac. I have a copy of the 14th edition. 2775 listings of marque specialists. The last pages of that section are a geographic listing by state. 648 PAGES total. This brings to mind a question about the roster project that AACA did a few years back. I don't see where it's available.
  4. Yes, about next year. Note that it's on Valentine's Day weekend. I'll be in the doghouse big time if I leave my wife at home!
  5. Hi Scott, Thanks for joining the forum. Very nice vehicle! Almost too nice to drive, but that's what they were built for. Your weather there probably isn't the greatest today, so hopefully it can stay in the garage.

  11. This feels to me to be a stupid question, but I was probably asleep in electrical engineering 101 when it was covered. Our '26 Chrysler has a positive ground (earth) electrical system. I'm replacing the coil. There are "+" and "-" terminals marked on the end of the coil. Which terminal goes to the distributor?? Any help will be appreciated and rewarded with a can of Moxie at Hershey 2014. Only 343 days away. Thanks.
  12. The driving rain and cold wind couldn't stop the traditional, fourth annual, Moxie Tasting at Hershey on Thursday October 10th. Folks from Oregon, Indiana, Iowa, and Maine. The attendance was down from last year, but the hard core followers showed up at 4:00 in the afternoon, about 14 folks. The quest continued to revive the original taste. The addition of a dollup ot two of apertiif added an interesting taste, but the judges concluded that it didn't do the job. Last year, we tried a small shot of bitters, but no luck there, either. Thanks to Red Dog who brought Moxie jelly from Maine. Yes, we have photographic evidence of the landmark event. The photos: John Wissink's Mixiemobile from Michigan; Bill Boudway and Rick Hawford at the banner; Flea market find, Moxie sheet music, and Moxie jelly from Red Dog from Maine; Tom and Paula Hartz giving it a taste; The set-up, including the "secret" ingredient to bring back the lost original taste; The faithful, Dave Krieg, Stan Smith, Bill Smith, Rick Hayford, Eric Miller, Tom Harris, Jay Wolf, Ken Davis, Brad Glover, and a few curious onlookers. (Sorry if I missed someone) Mark your calendars for next year: Thursday, October9th, 4:00PM, Weather: sun and a light breeze!! Meanwhile, get your voice tuned for the Moxie Chorus.
