  1. Rocket was a term coined by the sales/advertising department to add to an image of power! Henry
  2. I'm in the Austin, Tx area, midway between San Antonio and Waco and I have two salvage '70 Electra 4drs one is 97% complete and the other is about 80% complete. Henry.<P>henry_polastry@netzero.net
  3. '67 Skylarks were not equipped with a hood ornament. Henry
  4. Any chance of returning it to the salvage yard that it came out of? Henry
  5. Design flaw???? I live in Texas and I've a number of Oldsmobiles '66 442, 400 4spd 3 row radiator with factory air cond, '66 f-85, 330 automatic 3 row radiator with factory air cond, '69 442 400 automatic 4 row radiator with factory air cond, all these cars do well in the summer heat. My '65 442 400 automatic 4 row radiator with factory air will overheat but I'd blame the earlier style down flow radiator for that. Henry
  6. That windshield would be a Buick/Olds part only...'54/'55/'56 hdtp and converts. Pontiac and Chevy of that era shared glass body style for body style. Henry
  7. 2dr post cars were available with the 442 package. 442's also had a larger 3/8" fuel to feed the 400. The original wheels are 6" wide versus 5 1/2" for the rest of the passenger cars. Henry
  8. The Invicta window will not work on the Special. Henry
  9. The engine mount stands are the 2 metal brackets that bolt to the crossmember where the engine sets in place. You will need to use the Oldsmobile exhaust manifolds and alter the pipe that attach to them in order to hook up the exhaust. Henry.
  10. No trim ring on the spare wheel but it does use a center cap on the spare. According to my Olds Parts and Accessories catalog there is a listing for '68 SSII wheels it shows 4 trim rings and 5 center caps required. Henry
  11. You will need engine mount stands from a Cutlass frame and your exhaust system front pipes will have to be altered to connect to the Olds engine. Will bolt direct to your Buick transmission, will need to use Olds flex plate. Henry
  12. You might check the throwout bearing. There's a tall one and a short on that's commonly used on GM cars. You may need to use the other size. Henry
  13. All '66 Delta 88's were factory equipped with 425 cid engines with 2bl or 4 bl carbs. Henry
  14. The door glass is the same for all '69 2dr hdtp and convert GM "A" bodies. The convert quarter glass is completely different than the 2dr hdtps. All '68 thru '72 GM "A" body converts share the same quarter glass. Henry.
  15. '70 Electra rear bumper is the same as '69. Henry.
  16. In regards to the 4dr door panels, the rear doors on a Sportwagon are a few inches longer than the 4dr sedans and hdtps. The front ones will have the same measurments. Henry

    Hubcab ID help

If they are 15" they are standard for '66 LeSabre. With a change of center plastic emblem they are the standard offering on '66 Wildcat and '66 Riviera. If its a 14' it looks like the '66 Special. Henry
  18. I picked up an odd one recently. It's a '66 F-85 Deluxe 4drhdtp with a gold six cylinder, factory air, ps, pb, power seat, tilt column, two tone paint, 2nd style remote mirror. It also never had a radio and the wheels were painted body color which indicates it left the factory with small hubcaps. Talk about strange! Henry
  19. Your most costly item will be connecting the exhaust to the Chev engine, different header pipes will be needed. I think you'll need '64-'67 SBChevelle frame mounts also. Don't feel too bad about the Chev engine I have a '66 Cutlass with a factory installed Chevy engine. Henry
  20. The Nazis no doubt had nationalized the GM holdings for their own use! Henry
  21. No they're not the same '67 has emergency flasher system and collapsable feature for collisions. However give me more details. Henry henry_polastry@netzero.net
  22. That's a direct swap, just make certain you get a complete with all the parts '70 sport wheel. Henry
  23. We are still looking. Thanks, Henry
