  1. From the information I have, the interior is is done in neither the correct color nor the correct pattern. Deduct another $100. for a set of good hubcaps.
  2. Best of both worlds... Engine for the Continental restorer and a body for the hot-rodder.
  3. More than a little optimistic on price, I think, especially for a low-rider. The '59 Cad tail light lenses are a nice touch, though . 🦨
  4. Please clarify what you are saying saying. Is this car over-priced and not authentic enough or at least reasonably priced and in reasonably authentic condition?
  5. It might fit a '60 - '64 Chevy Corvair
  6. I remember riding in De Soto taxi cabs in the late '40's and early '50', in San Francisco. I rode in a fold-out jump seat while my parents sat in the sofa-sized seat behind me. Cable cars, street cars, and that big mileage meter were all fun for a kid to watch.
  7. Anybody bother to call or email the seller? Sounds like sour grapes to me.

  10. Most news and industry sources are saying Toyota was able to stock and manage their computer chip supply better than GM did. Toyota did not have the new car production problems that GM did, were able to supply their dealers with cars when GM couldn't, and had inventory for sale when GM didn't. There was a great demand for new cars and people purchased cars from sources that could supply them. The situation is purely economic...not political,
  11. I looked at a REO sedan in very similar condition in eastern Washington state close to 40 years ago. It sold for $3500. which I thought was more than it was worth then. However that amount translates into about $9000. today, so maybe neither car is overpriced.
  12. Try this website. Lots of info on the web if you spend a few minutes looking... https://www.automobile-catalog.com/make/oldsmobile/cutlass_5gen/cutlass_5_supreme_coupe/1988.html 1988 was the final year for the rear-wheel drive Cutlass Supreme. It was badged Cutlass Supreme Classic, and 27,678 were built.[5] The 2-door coupe (produced alongside the Chevrolet Monte Carlo at GM's Pontiac, Michigan plant) continued, until the new front-wheel drive version was released. The Olds 307 was the only available engine.
  13. I want to rebuild a couple of old single and two-barrel carbs (with manual chokes) this winter, but before I do, they will need some serious cleaning. What chemical is best for removing the hard residue on the inside surfaces. I presume ethanol or methanol gasoline was left in them for as long as it took to dry and leave the deposits. On one, the linkage and choke move freely: the other is frozen shut. Your suggestions will be appreciated.
  14. You could try the "V-8buick.com" web site. There are a lot of enthusiasts and gear-heads into modified Buicks. There is an active forum, "buy and sell", etc. I have found it helpful with technical questions. Viel Glück

  16. 1968 Ford Country Squire station wagon - $6,500 (Jonesboro, GA) not mine https://atlanta.craigslist.org/sat/cto/d/jonesboro-1968-ford-country-squire/7425785901.html# [23 photos on cl listing] It's often been said that the 1968 Ford Country Squire was the prettiest wagon produced in the 1960's and I tend to agree. I'm in the classic car auto parts business and had an opportunity to buy this wagon as a parts car a couple years ago. Once I took possession of it, I realized it was in far to good of condition to use for parts, so I put it back on the road. The car runs, drives and stops as it should. That doesn't mean that all things are functional. I never set out to restore this car, but it deserves to be restored. The only serious rust is in the front floors and I've posted pictures of the condition. The rest of this car is relatively solid with only minor spots of rust. Everything is still with the car that it came with, minus the headliner. It has the big block 390 and a C6 automatic transmission. The odometer reads about 84,300 miles. After making the required repairs to get it back on the road, I believe this mileage to be actual. I've enjoyed driving this car and even taken the wife out for a Dairy Queen cone in it a few times. As you can see, it has all the necessary seatbelts to carry a car load of people. This is the 10 passenger model with the two rear side facing seats. I do not have a current title for this car. I bought it with a Bill of Sale and will sell it with a Bill of Sale. If you need a title, you can apply for one through the state of Georgia as a Bonded Title. A Bonded Title is as good as an original title and is as good as you will get for this car.I'm asking a fair price for this car @ $6500. If you want an old station wagon to enjoy as a family hauler or to pull your Trailer Queen show car to the local car show, this is an excellent choice. Come take a look and a test drive, but if you are expecting a car that is 100% and doesn't need any work, don't waste my time or yours. I prefer only seriously interested people inquire about the car. No tire kickers! If you're interested in coming to look and make an offer, make that offer a serious one. I'm already asking a fair price and most people that are car enthusiasts will know that. Contact Ed @ 404-550-0196. Texting is fine as are calls, but please, no calls after 9pm.
