  1. Anyone with a rotten radiator car on a Windsor? I’m currently having one made at a local machine shop and the cad drawings look amazing. These guys are car guys and love the odd stuff we bring them. I’m assuming cost would be pretty decent if I was to get a run of them made. I was talking with a guy on the east coast that had a couple Windsor’s that was interested but cannot find his info. I’ve attached a picture of my cap the cad drawing and the test plug they made me to find center with a proper gasket.
  2. Would love to see pics of your roadster! We have 16 roadster we just got back on the road. As far as the grease. I used John deer cornhead grease for both gearbox and rear axle. Comes in standard grease tubes. For the rear end I pump it in with a grease gun and for the gearbox I heat the tubes up in the oven and pour them in. Your right no access on the roadster from the top.
  3. Looking for a light/ ignition switch. Preferably a good one but will take a parts one. Picture attached.
  4. Would love to see some pictures!
  5. Would be interested in the clamps. Looking for a set for a car.

  7. Roger. I will get you a better pic with dimensions. But here is what your 17 should look like. My two 16’s are also identical
  8. Pictures would definitely help. If your looking at flipping it then the 3500 price mentioned above would be close, early studes are overlooked by most for no reasonable reason. If you want a killer driving high horsepower teens car that will hang right with and pass most of early high end cars, there is no set price. We have 7 studes earliest being a 16 latest being a 24. I can hop in plenty of early brass or full classics whenever I want and I always go to our 17 6cyl Stude. Good luck with making a deal!
  9. I have a buddy close to my age (27) that has caught the bug from being around all my fathers cars! If car checks out the hobby will continue on to our generation! Will keep you in the loop.
  10. Are there any mechanical adjustments to the brush linkage?
  11. Thanks Brian. I will do some digging tonight. I do know my amp gauge is not hooked up correctly and I have something else going on with my light switch. I’m thinking I need to go through all the wiring before I dig much deeper.
  12. Thanks terry it has a few issues that need ironed out but aside from that it should end up being a very nice driver.
  13. That makes sense. As I feel I may have an issue with my switch anyway. When lights are turned on the circuit breaker buzzes. I’m getting the idea I may need to go through the wiring. The car is done extremely nice but has always been a show car so it has a few bugs to work out. Thanks for the info!
  14. We just recently acquired a 23 6-48 coupe. And have had a 22 6-54 roadster for a couple years. The 22 when the ignition is turned on you can hear the started generator motoring before you start the car, as you can on our 24 Cadillac. But the 23 coupe it does not motor when ignition is on and doesn’t appear to be charging. Starts the car fine. Any ideas before I dig into it? Pictures of both cars attached.
  15. Thanks to @Peter Gariepy for putting the thread up. Hopefully their will be some good activity to keep it alive. So for starters here is our 1929 Windsor White prince 8-92. We pulled the car home back in the winter of this year. Had been stored away for some time. Went through the brakes, fuel system, packed water pump etc. and now it’s back on the road. Have been taking small trips local to shake out any possible bugs it may still have from sitting for so long but after roughly 50 miles I think it’s ready to go mechanically. The 4spd trans and hydraulic brakes make it a real pleasure to drive!
