  2. "Atlanta to Pasadena" in that rig. I'm sure there were fun moments but I'm also sure they were very happy to see Pasadena!
  3. Former L O F / NSG Employee here. There was a period about 25 years ago where they did make all the glass shops knock this off. I think they were concerned about liability. What if someone "bugged" glass that wasn't safety? Glass fabricators still use the methods described here to bug glass "in the field" on architectural projects where the inspector looked for it and couldn't find it. In my experience the stencil works better than the stamp because it takes a fair amount of the acid to get a good etch and with a stamp it tends to be a big blob. HF is very bad stuff...be careful!

  7. Very usable vehicle, the price is high but not crazy. Couldn't they pull it out to take the pictures? https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/d/santa-rosa-1940-chevy-2ton-pickup-truck/7578180059.html Solid rust free 1940 Chevrolet pick up truck. 235 CI six cyl. with exhaust headers. new boards in truck bed. runs good. must see to appreciate and I will wash it before you take it home, been sitting so it is just a little dusty. email: 0020e13497c3341190dbba527c47bd3f@sale.craigslist.org
  8. I thought the same thing, and as a California person I know one thing that attacks rubber is Ozone (a smog component) and this car is in Whittier, birth place of Richard Nixon and a place that the smog from LA goes to hang out.
  9. Long term owners...Might be a good start with a little price adjustment. More pics in the ad https://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/cto/d/whittier-1934-buick-model-30/7574893090.html Restoration Car: Includes Headlights, Bumpers, Grill, Hood Ornament, Interior Window, Trim & Dash Refinished, 5-Hubcaps, Straight-8 Completely rebuilt, in 1977 with less than 25 miles on it, Body is in excellent condition except for dent on the rear passenger side, 4-New Tires, New Electric Wiring Full Vehicle, Vehicle has been on jack stands, so tires are in great condition. 10. I hate to see people selling cars they know nothing about. At least they don't think it's so rare it's worth $35K. https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/cto/d/woodland-hills-ford/7576142560.html 1929 Ford Plymouth Clean Title Original engine No rust Straight body Sleeping a few yearsShould tow Original rims Pink slip on hand (818) 626-6530
  11. These engines were made under license. Duesenberg in the period before Cord got involved was always operated on a shoestring. The joke was that a Duesenberg hose clamp was a twisted piece of wire and a Duesenberg milling machine was a hack saw. I think it makes their success all the more remarkable. Here's a link:
  12. This one sold for $137,500 at Amelia Island in 2017. I notice it has a fan belt!
  13. One of those "Price on Application" listings but a very interesting car. They are called "Walking Beam" because the rocker arms are over a foot long and mounted vertically on the side of the engine. http://dshappyclassiccars.com/index.php/cars-for-sale/1918-duesenberg-revere-walking-beam-long-tail-racer/ Four cylinder 106 HP Rochester Duesenberg engines were designed by the master pro Duesenberg brothers who set the benchmark for early automobile racing. 14. It isn't clear if it's currently running but it appears a nice example at a decent price, and an interesting ad. https://medford.craigslist.org/cto/d/ashland-1929-ford-model-coupe/7577023158.html 1929 Ford Model "A" coupe. "Blue Bell" as she has been named, originally came from Medford and was last registered to a "Lyle Perkins" in 1963. For about 60 years she was in protected storage in Northern Idaho. The milage reads at 64,028. New battery, wood floorboards, rubber floor mat, gaskets, ect. and many recoated parts come with. Has exhaust leak that may/or may not get fixed before departure. She still wears Montgomery/Wards tires that will get her to a new home. However, warranty may be challenged. Sale is due to a lack of temperature-controlled storage. "Blue Bell" has two sisters that are coming soon to take the available space in the garage. Please call or use email.....Seller is too old to do text! 8363a90375b832079d8fbdbbf582a7e0@sale.craigslist.org
  15. If the mechanical part is true, its better than many projects we see but still overpriced... https://ventura.craigslist.org/cto/d/simi-valley-1933-chevrolet-master/7576968526.html 1933 Chevrolet Master 4 door. The body is straight and has a lot of paint and little rust. One or two minor dents and no bullet holes like some. 207 inch 6 cylinder was rebuilt about 3 years before grandfather passed and it was driven very little after rebuild. Driven on mostly gravel roads.4 new tires/tubes and wheels are painted and clear coated. New hubcaps. This car will probably run with the gas tank and radiator re-installed and some wiring. The car is a one family owned since 6 months old. There are many NOS parts and useable older parts. New windshield, front seat bottom spring set. All glass is useable except the two rear wing windows. There is a new windshield and rubber gasket. I have one good radiator shell and a new stainless insert with a re-chromed center bar. There is a good Eagle radiator cap. The rear fenders are fiberglass over steel there are new fiberglass front fenders. The radiator is cleaned, and pressure tested. It is not installed as seen in the photos. The front axle is rebuilt and aligned. Included are some original tools for the car. Body is in good shape but it is missing the passenger side running board and rear bumper. I have the brackets. Parts are available from The Filling Station in Lebanon, OR.I have a title from North Dakota in my father's name, he signed it over to me before he passed away. I will sign it over to the buyer or just give you a Bill of Sale for parts. Please call me at the number listed with questions or to set up an appointment to see the car. I’ll get more photos if one needs them. $6200.00Several people have requested additional photos. My phone is old style and does not send photos. 16. Looks nice ... some important areas not shown. The ad makes me wonder how this person came to won it. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/cto/d/salinas-1935-studabaker/7576867674.html 1935 StudabAker Dictator previously restoredRuns great every thing works clean interior , under carriage clean no leaks need to sell new project front suicide door Cali Windshield email: bcd1de8674ca33b2971d0cad9bedd4bb@sale.craigslist.org
  17. I'm always surprised to see how inexpensive a nice T is, but as the driver of a 25 Chevy I guess I also understand how useful they are. https://fresno.craigslist.org/cto/d/fresno-27-model/7575972600.html 1927 model T runs looks great in and out no rust all original $9000 obo559 457-8873
  18. Even the oddest cars are out there. Many years ago, though some strange circumstances, I came to possess an AC Cobra someone had turned into dragster using the jet engine from a 50's fighter aircraft. When I placed an ad to sell it, I received calls from three other people who also had jet powered cars.
  19. Totally true! For every old car we see at a meet or on the road, there are at least 10 like it in someone's garage that "just need a little TLC" (according to them).
  20. You know, I think I had it confused with a similar (but better looking) Buick.
  21. It does look very nice but it would have to be a real award winner to hit $30K. https://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/7574342180.html Sparkling with a distinctive type of beauty and advanced engineering features, the 1941 Dodge Luxury Liner was truly a car ahead of its time. For only $25 extra, a proud owner could have fluid drive. Just imagine being able to brake to a stop and stay in gear…yes, and start again in high without shifting! Also featured was floating power, safety rim wheels, overdrive, and a smooth six cylinder engine.PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THIS IS A ORIGINAL BODY ORIGINAL , ALL SHEET METAL IS ORIGINAL AND ALL PANALS ARE ORIGINAL, NOT A RUST BUCKET, IT WAS SOMEONES GRANDPAS CAR1941 DODGE LUXURY LINER CUSTOM, D-19 (619) 717-9916
