  1. Very cool. It's interesting to see all the running changes, even within the same model year. A guy has to assume the '63s would have the most changes throughout, being the first of the first gens.
  2. Oreilly is an auto parts store, like NAPA or Autozone. Good stuff. I use them for most my "generic" type parts, like fluids, fittings, alternators, and whatnot.
  3. Radiator is sold. Thanks Tom. Lucas
  4. If you want to use Type A, Oreilly's still offers it. Here you go: http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/search/Type+A/N2450/C0207.oap?model=F-100&vi=5231112&year=1974&make=Ford
  5. Here's a thread on the subject: I personally just use Type F.
  6. Had them on my '71 Delta 88, but I didn't have any leaks. I didn't drive it in the rain or snow, though.....That's what my pickups are for
  7. No, sir, it's the black custom one in my avatar and posted in the pics thread.
  8. All of the 5.0 Mustangs I've had (4 of them) have had 85 mph speedometers. Now THAT was a funny underestimate sanctioned by the government.......
  9. I actually e-mailed him my plate this morning for his registry haha.....perfect timing.
  10. Hi, just a quick question. In my '63 non-a/c car, the passenger side dash and glove box door are smooth and painted gray. I've seen them both smooth and "finned" like the factory steering column. Is there any rhyme or reason to this? I've assumed it was a running change on the '63s, and the earlier cars had the smooth dash and the later had the finned, but haven't found an actual answer. Just curious. Thanks. Lucas
  11. Hi, I put an aluminum radiator in my Riviera, so I'm getting rid of the stock one. It didn't leak or have any issues in my 200-300 miles of owning and driving the car before this winter, but I have not pressure tested it, so take that as I know it was working great when pulled, but I wouldn't put my good name on it. The inside looks surprisingly clean and not corroded. This radiator has the trans cooler lines on the bottom, and the fins are nice and straight. The coolant I drained out was green and not burned smelling. I didn't paint it or clean it or anything, so the pics show the actual condition of it as I pulled it. I'm looking for $60 plus shipping, and I have the box my new radiator came in, so I can pack it up in that (has molded foam to keep everything nice and secure). I'm located in Missoula, Montana. Give me a call or text at 406-214-5397, or message me on here. Thanks for your time. Lucas
  12. Here's a good looking '69. It's near me in a suburb 20 miles away, but I don't recall ever seeing it driving around. I would've detailed the engine bay, but looks good otherwise. https://missoula.craigslist.org/cto/6067088007.html
  13. Looks fantastic! Nice work.
  14. Well, my Mach 1 and my Riv live in my humble garage, which means I had to "build" a car port for my Caddy, and I put a car cover on it, also. My F-100 and F-250 both live outside, but nothing is parked on the street.....yet.
  15. Couple pics of my '63 Riviera.....401, custom interior, yadayadayada.......
  16. Hello, all. Just curious if anyone knows if the vent window regulator shafts are different lengths between a standard and deluxe interior on a '63. I've got Deluxe door panels on mine, which were on it when I got the car, but my vent window cranks are nowhere near being able to be installed on the shafts (they can't be pushed on far enough to engage the retaining clip). Just curious if there was a difference between them (maybe my car had standard interior from the factory). I can buy these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/WINDOW-CRANK-EXTENSION-Chevy-Camaro-Corvette-GM-Buick-Pontiac-Olds/131786729465?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131017132637%26meid%3D43166bc4658748c281b64c49b64c3007%26pid%3D100033%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D7%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D162444010425 to hook up to them, but I'll probably just make something myself, unless someone has a different approach and has run into/fixed this issue before. Thanks!
  17. I believe its 1/8", but not 100% sure, was just some stuff I had hanging around in the garage. It sticks out slightly farther than stock, but nothing noticeable after you remove all the old veneer and adhesive. I'm going to stick them on tonight if I get a couple other things done on the car.
  18. Thanks fellas. And don't worry, I already got rid of the "ricer" brake pedal for a stock one and got a stock gas pedal. It's coming along nicely, I'll post pics of the completed interior when done.
  19. Yeah, this one is a little bit "much" for me, but I'm going to be changing the red armrests to black. I've got a leatherette kit for the console coming, and I've done a black leather dash and rear package tray already. The previous owner was a man of questionable taste.......
  20. Hi, just thought I'd share some pics of the "woodgrain" panels I made for my 63's doors. I used lexan to make them and a buddy of mine does hydro dipping, so we came up with a custom red burlwood pattern to match my red leather. Just thought I'd share some pics to give some other ideas to options for them. Lucas
  21. Veneers and leatherette is on ebay now. Just ordered my set.
  22. That's cool that he's making them like that now. His prices can't be beat, and he's a really cool guy. The valley pan was top notch quality that I got from him.
  23. Just received an e-mail from Bob, said he's going to start making the leatherette sets tomorrow. Excited to get my last little bit of interior work done
