  4. The trunk release is one of my favorite options. The noise it makes...so simple...so pure! Hehehehe.
  5. Here are a couple more pictures...
  6. Hey all, I got a couple pieces of Riviera paraphernalia. The seller says he purchased a bunch of cast prototype badging from the estate sale of a GM designer. I snatched them up just incase they are historically relevant. Has anyone seen these types of items? Obviously it looks to be associated with the 73 Riviera and the script is not specifically, yet looks similar to a few years. Any ideas? Thanks!
  7. My backup set of cornering lamps...
  8. I recall drooling over this one when on market. I had the 430 sticker on the air cleaner top also, but don't think it is original. Up to you of course for what style you like. Yeah so if paint code is LL, it most likely came from factory without a vinyl top, but I like the one they put on it in that color. Makes it unique. Triple Teal/blue vehicle! Yeah, PJ on protect-o is a good indication. I would still want to see the stamping...
  9. That is a super gorgeous Riviera. Great color combo. It even has the center console shifter too right? I don't this the VIN can show or where did you get the PJ? Basically to make sure you want to find the stamping on the differential tube (drivers side). Or maybe just do a peel out and see if both tires?! hehehe. Either way, its a magical ride! Thanks for sharing.
  10. Hehe I don't, yet I am making correct how it should be from factory. Previous owner had engine rebuild and did it up like that. See in pick how it is now. Then another pic of the engine right after engine rebuild...before he got the correct air cleaner filter that is...
  11. Do anyone have or know where I can get the grommet for the original chrome plug in style oil breather for the front drivers side for a 66 GS oil breather? I already contacted CARS Old Buick Parts and Glenn said they did not have a source for it. Thank you for any leads...
  12. Nice low mile 69 GS. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Buick-Riviera/333563468592?hash=item4da9ee9b30:g:OtEAAOSwEwpeg4ni
  13. I broke out some 66 paint chips from sellers manual and 66 Buick paint book. Probably not super accurate. I took the chip out in the sun and the blue picked up. Wow, the GTO looks wicked...
  14. BUICK GM Definitely should have put that redline down the front grill from factory. At least for GS package. They would have sold more. Nice picture!

  16. Gorgeous! Yeah, GUNMETAL sounds cool enough, but with Rivieras, looks even better. Thanks for the picture Jason!
  17. Congratulations Sjbb112 (might want to rename that), Riviera Gunmetal is a great color and seldom seen. Its a blue gunmetal that is black in some light, navy blue in others. It is not particularly a rare color, yet it is the lowest run of the "Riviera" specific colors that year. A bit under 3000 produced in 66. When you join you will access to statistics and intel like this. Your probably going to want to buy a 1966 Buick paint book to see the paint chip and get multiple example to compare to your trunk and get a color that is accurate that you like for restoration.
  18. Turquoise mist is a top color on the Rivieras IMO also...
  19. And the rarity and name makes it even cooler I think. "Shadow Turquoise." RoA figures show only 1372 from factory for 1966.
