  1. So, I got the "top" bolt completely out. That was on there like a s.o.b. By far the hardest bolt so far and I've removed all the body mounts! So, I started jacking up the body inch by inch...and was hoping for a miracle that the steering colume would just come out. No luck. So, do I remove the "bottom" bolt from the coupling? I'm open for advice...and eager to get the body off the frame to start the dirty work. Thanks so much. Paul
  2. Hello All, The last thing I need to disconnect before removing the body from the frame is the steering column/steering coupling. There is a compression fitting bolted firmly with a bolt that I haven't seen before. How do you suggest I remove it (what wrench/socket? Any other tricks/tips? The attached pic of the bolt is in the center of the pic. Thanks for your help.
  3. To me, this is BUICK...Call it Riviera, Centurion, or Velite...don't care...timeless design.
  4. I used and swear by the Eastwood product....but now, after reading this thread, I'm going to Home Depot for phosphoric acid! Thanks folks!
  5. I noticed that too...and it looks great. I sort of wish I had one of my 73's back...but the garages are full for now...maybe someday. I'll be going to the movie...no one else will understand why we're so excited to see that scene...hope it makes it to the final cut.
  6. Bought this car online (Ebay)from Oklahoma. When it arrived, it was a basket case. So I decided to restore it instead of driving it as a beater. This is my therapy car now...just drive and drive and drive...no worries. This car is a dream to drive...so smooth and quiet.
