  1. I had these on ebay for $795,they're going to Chickasha and will be $650 down there. Believed they were made from a kit many years ago and will need some restoration. The tracks bolt right on the rear brake drum and believe the bolt pattern is Jeep. They have been outside but in dry Northern Colorado.
  2. I still think some of them had a steel shell and the aluminum was extra cost option. The Filling Station sells repos of the 28 winged wheel emblem used in the 1928 aluminum shell but also sells the same 1923-28 stand alone bowtie emblem for all the steel shells.
  3. Your car looks like a 1928 Chevrolet with the accessory aluminum radiator shell. The object to the right of the license plate looks like a pancake horn, probably a little later than the car. The objects above the plate look like Mobil brand license plate riders in the shape of a Pegasus, red winged horse.
  4. That puts a whole new spin on it. We may never know. In the original he's pulled over to the right side of the road which may make a bit more sense than the left side in the reverse. I would think he would have the valve in the Prestolite bottle up rather than down. The electric horn is a really good point but the thing still gas lights. That thing shown on the top of the horn may be a plunger so it may be a manual.
  5. With three times as many springs as T,big, heavy eight lug wheels,I was kind of looking past Model T.
  6. I have one just like it that was identified as '28 Chevy. I believe Harrison was their normal supplier so yours and mine may be after market.
  7. Chuck, Didn't you know AC stands for Albert Champion?
  8. The draglink must be what,6 or 7 feet long?
  9. Grill looks 37 Dodge.
  10. I just got back from Heinrich's by Cleveland and took him the whole pile. Luckily I have some equity in the house 'cause Social Security sure isn't going to cover it. I'll be 76 in May,I'd rather check out of this life with that car and a couple others done and having some fun with rather than unused equity in the place.
  11. That could be off a big outboard boat motor,Mercury made a lot of them.
  12. Thanks Terry,That could help narrow it down.
  13. I compared it to a 30 Dodge coupe body here and if the lower corners were rounder,it would fit. Looks to have the same hinge and holes for mounting it to the header are spaced exactly the same. So it's Mopar, probably Dodge, maybe a year or two earlier or later. Thanks 28Chrysler,that helped.
  14. What car had lefthand steering that early?
  15. John,I've got a bit over 3' of this 1 3/4" wide stuff,1/4" thick. You don't specify what width you want. If it will work I'll take $36.50 for it,flatrate shipping included. Holler if interested.Steve
  16. It doesn't look like this one is the exact same thing but it might be usable. The yokes measure about 6" across. It's very solid,no slack or slop, probably not NOS but at least early take-off. The shaft with the square end will come out of it. PM me if interested It doesn't look like the exact same thing, maybe a little bigger, but maybe usable. It's very solid,no slack or slop, probably not NOS but at least early takeoff. The shaft with the square end will come out of it. The yokes are about 6" in diameter. PM me if interested.
  17. I stumbled onto my old post and didn't realize there had been replies. John,I know about that group and have been going to join for years, too much going on I guess. Don,that's pretty neat, looks a whole lot more like a 14 than a 13. I tripped back to the Cleveland area a short time ago and stopped in Ill on the way home to look at a 14 racer. It was all Cadillac and pretty neat. No fenders,I plan to have them on mine if and when. Al from Als farms and I have done several deals in the past. He called me up several years ago wanting something I had but hung up without making any deal. After two months of not hearing from him I sold it to someone else, two weeks later he calls wanting it and has been mad I guess ever since. No reply to my msg.
  18. It's the flat style,41 1/2" wide,13" tall at the ends counting the bottom half of the hinge,10" in the center,8 11/16" in center between the frames. The hinge is the style where both edges are curled and one goes inside the other. Appreciate any help.
  19. I'm going to do some trading with a guy and there is a slim chance I'll be getting a Hupp project touring car about that era. It may be a little earlier than these lights but if they're the same year they'll probably go with the car when and if I sell it. If you want to PM me with your contact information I'll sure give you the first shot on them or the project. There is a third cowl light, not as good as this pair, that would be included. Winter will have to subside a bit before anything gets done.
  20. I think you are on to something drwatson. Here are a couple more pics.
  21. Yes,It wouldn't be more obvious if it was an airport beacon. Last year was my worst at Chickasha as far as sales go, but I always find some things to take home. I hope attendance is a lot better this year, these meets need to be supported.
  22. I picked these up at different times and places but they are very similar. One guess on them was 27 Marmon. The taillight is 4 7/8" across, the cowl light 4 9/16" .Appreciate any help.
  23. I'm not into Packards, have nothing else related to these and years stated are my best guess. One has been blasted, the other one has the electrical plug with the screw-on nut in good condition. There is some edge rustaway. The bezel is pretty good, would need minor straightening. The housings are a bit different, views of the reverse show those differences. Price is $169.50 shipping included, paypal or check is fine. Please PM me if interested.
  24. This is the largest set I've ever seen. One picture shows them next to a dwarfed set of 1915 Cadillac sockets. They are in really nice shape whatever they are. Any ideas? Thanks.
