  1. This definitely appears to be a 1930, not a 1931. Different model numbers and beltline styling. Interior was "restored" incorrectly from original. Gotta be a low production body style.
  2. Gorgeous interior. Whoever did it is to be commended. So many are done "wrong". Almost looks factory. But too fresh to be. Can't tell if lower paint color is faded red or salmon pink.
  3. Deals like that never last 24 hours. Could have easily asked double ($10k) to start. Someone got a really nice car for 5k or less.
  4. Nicest looking year for Buick in the 30's! Looks like a nice example of Buick's entry level 1933 model.
  5. Ambitious project but I've seen a lot worse for a lot more money!
  6. High point of Rambler styling IMO ('65-66). Car looks very straight. Potentially original paint. See dealer sticker on rear body. Based on lack of interior wear, I believe mileage. However, its a 6 cylinder Rambler sedan. Not going to command big money. If detailed up and turn key ready to go, might get 9k for it, but not as it sits. Probably needs carb rebuild.
  7. How long was this on the market? (I'm guessing under 12 hours) Ad already deleted. Someone got a steal!
  8. Paint is most certainly not original and striping is an incorrect pattern. There should be no striping on the fenders. Interior looks original and is in excellent condition. This is a late '31 with the single bar bumpers. Looks like a decent car. Hopefully it has not sat dormant too many years. Price is about $10K optimistic though.
  9. Believe interior is close to correct. The '31 Deluxe Tudor was one of the few Model A's you could get with a green mohair interior. Color looks a bit lighter/brighter than stock but close to how it would have looked originally.
  10. And not just brown but this particularly gross shade of medium brown. Combined with gross flesh colored tan. There are some nice browns but these are not among them. I swear they had a fire sale on these two colors of paint in the '80's. "When in doubt, paint it black!"
  11. Sometimes Facebook ads do not display for weeks or months. I have run into this several times. So potential buyers may not have seen this ad until recently. Hence why it wasn't seen or posted here until today. Facebook Marketplace is terrible, but unfortunately, that is where much of "the action" is now!
  12. Interesting! I think the Briggs body is nicer looking overall, including the roof treatment. But the rear hinged front doors on the Hudson body are a big plus. Looks like the doors on the Hudson body are longer as well for easier entry.
  13. Facebook down? Just pulled this ad up right now. Seems to be working fine.
  14. Hard to say without seeing in the flesh. One issue is: was it well prepped for paint? If not, the paint could easily peel off or the roughness underneath from the deteriorated prior paint job could be showing through the new topccoat. Assuming it was prepped well and the issue is just the spraying of the new paint (looks like it was applied "dry" and rather rough finish), if there is a thick enough film of new paint a careful sanding and polishing could improve the texture and bring out some shine. Based on the photos it may have been applied in too thin a coat to do much sanding. In general, a marginal finished product like this indicates a less than stellar prep job was likely done, although again an in person inspection is probably the only way to make a determination.
  15. Did Hudson offer both body options? Sounds like a potential minus to me (much wood in the body). How can the different bodies be visually ID'd? Neat car but a lot of unknowns. Not a fan of the single sidemount and that billboard cover would be the first thing to go. Beautiful interior design on the hardware.
  16. One of the least attractive Packards on the exterior, (tough call between this and a '58...?) but love the interior. Looks very original. Worth saving due to being an upper crust model. ///// After looking at pics of some '58's.- I'd take a '58 over this.
  17. Doesn't look or sound like much of anything is original to me. Cut the price in thirds and that would be a good starting point.
  18. I had no idea either! Never heard of the company. (live in the Northeast and I guess there are none around here) I thought it was the owner of the car's name!
  19. It likely sold at it was well priced for a Cabriolet and appeared to be in decent condition.
  20. These are nice cars. One of the last "semi traditional" Cadillacs. Unfortunately they eliminated the skirted rear wheels for 1997. With the Northstar, they are rockets, but watch out for head gasket issues. Boring colors and needs whitewalls. I'm more interested in that sharp Two Tone Regal GS next to it!
  21. Cut the price in half again, and they'd be in the ballpark. A powder blue velour interior with green and black paint? What were they thinking?
  22. Seems very straight and well priced. The vinyl top does not work well on these IMO, but its not too objectionable. I would get it sorted and leave it as is. Maybe replace the driver's seat upholstery, that's about it.
  23. Absolutely scams! Anyone who says they want to buy something for asking price without seeing it or asking any other questions is scamming. I doubt the names you are seeing are their actual names. Just ignore them in the future and block their email addresses.
