  1. There is a heater fitting where the heater core returns to.. Lower passenger side
  2. Looks like it's 3/8 not.. Not common with a 3/4 nipple
  3. Anyone know the size of thread for the heater fitting that threads into the radiator... Just tried a 1/2 not and that was to big..
  4. Unfortunately they somehow got the card number right darn it
  5. Just a quick update.. Got the new radiator today haven't installed it but it looks amazing.. They did misspell my name and leave off part of my address so it took a tad longer then it should have to arrive.

  7. I have a clean 56 4 barrel intake for sale looking for 200 plus shipping..
  8. Just an fyi.... The diagram for 56 is potentially incorrect.. There was a revision.. Water manifold to valve... Valve to lower heater core... Upper heater core to radiator... This is shown in the tsb book and is how my car is routed
  9. Just going off of the plugs I'd guess bottom end is fine but something's up with the heads guessing in the guide area
  10. The only thing I would suggest doing to that edelbrock is right away open her up and check the float levels they're known to be wrong from the factory

  12. Anyone else having a problem with their site today..I can't email or go to their site
  13. My experience is the majority of these old carbs don't age well...I always try to find a nice adapter and go with a modern carb I can get new.. It has always worked out well for me vs spending more money and time trying to get something to work that's worn out and not designed for today's gas
  14. Interesting I wonder if any of the modern ones have a baffle
  15. Well the core is shot on the unknown spare radiator... They'll give me a quote on Monday but I'm expecting around 500..I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and order a brand new one from classic radiator
  16. Well the spare radiator is at the shop we'll see what they say...
  17. I'm definitely not a fan of stop leaks but this one seems like the list bad of all of them for what that's worth lol.. Just can't afford 600 odd bucks for a new one... I'm going to drop off a spare one of unknown quality at a shop tomorrow here's hoping it isn't to bad
  18. Actually I am also running a separate transmission cooler as well.. I've been tempted to not run the transmission through the radiator at all but I doubt this will help my leak..I havIs feeling there's a hairline crack in the threads where the line threads in..
  19. Anyone use the bars or gm tablets.. Heard good things..I have a minor leak on the bottom of my radiator by the passenger transmission cooler fitting.. It gets damp and will leave a few spots on the asphalt.. Been like this for years but now leaving spots.. Was recored 15 odd years ago
  20. Anyone have any experience with classic radiator they seem to have the best price for a new one
  21. Group size 31 fits just perfect in my 56...O'Reilly carries them
  22. Anyone use the fel pro valve cover gaskets..I can get them through my work cheap but they don't look right they have tabs along the outside like they pop into the cover.. Of course our covers aren't designed like that...56 322
