  1. Pretty picked over. Not the same place from 20 years ago. Less than half the cars.
  2. This is for the 1946-7 Hudson Super series. Also used on the Hudson pickups
  3. This is a December 1936 model AutoLite distributor.
  4. 1-Rewired Studebaker 53-55 Electric Wiper Motor. Part #311168 Cost $58.00 plus shipping Contact: 704-792-9110
  5. auburnseeker is right.. Been there done that. It takes a very long time just to break even let alone a profit on ebay or otherwise. Another pain is that someone who is ignorant of the relative value of these parts thinks they have a fortune and won't listen to a reasonable price for selling the lot. No one buys it and soon pride steps in and the parts go for junk because he wouldn't let anyone 'get one over' on him .I hope that isn't the case here but I have seen that happen.
  6. Is there anyone out there that has an old Balkamp catalogue from about 1965? I need about 15 parts identified mostly they start the part with a prefix of 3 followed by about 4 numbers. I sure would appreciate it.
  7. Dave, I wish you well in your undertaking. About the only other manufacturer I can think of that had pinned piston rings was Hudson. Might be a good thing to get professional advise but hold onto the car until paid.
  8. Dave, $1500 piston rings?? Let me guess... EGGE! Lol.
  9. Wayne, I don't think the problem is that we're against paying . The problem is that the cost is borne on the backs of the very people that cause the event to happen. Goodguy shows have the attendees pay, not the vehicle exhibitors. The real reason that car guys are charged is that the show promoters want to guanantee that the cost of Porta potties, security etc. are covered so by charging the registrants they're covered rain or shine. Thats going to be a problem if guys like you did not show up in sufficient numbers during a rainey event. BTW how about a case of oil instead of a dust collector trophy. Something a guy can really use.
  10. Joe I agree 100%. It's like charging actors who put on a play and letting in for free all the audience. Only one show that I know lets the guy who drives in for free as well as any passengers but charges for walk ins.
  11. Gently used Buick roof antenna . I understand that this piece will interchange from 41-53. Very nice condition. Comes with all mast hardware and knob. Very slight pitting near base of antenna. At 10 feet you can't see it. Anyway a really nice part. Asking $135 OBO. Freight additional . 704 792 9110
  12. Most of us are on the classiccar.com forum. I believe this forum was set up for Canadian Hudson owners.
  13. Here's one that is still in business: Automatic Repair Co. 130 Florida St. Farmingdale, N.Y. 11735 . 631 420 0103
  14. Funny thing is I was sort of aware of what may happen in the future so I got a kit in addition to getting my jacks repaired. Good thing I did. What a shame. I guess this is what happens when people prefer cheap Chinese crap over more costly American products with integrity.
  15. With all due respect RHL have you read the other threads on this post? It is NOT an isolated problem. Read about what happened to the Charleston W.Va, AACA chapter. Alex and the younger bunch are being shut out. Meantime the Goodguys club is doing quite well. I'll admit it's comparing chalk and cheese but there is a fundemental difference between how you're welcomed in that makes the real difference. I now own a part time business that sell parts for a distinctive make of car. I have a sizable number of younger folks ,mostly from California, who buy parts from me. They overwhelmingly are NOT in any car club or car organization. They love the vehicles but can live without the politics. THAT is why organizations like the VCCA etc are getting to be like the passenger pigeon. Is the AACA headed this way? if they treat guys like Alex and countless others the way they have then the answer is yes. Remember your first impressions are the lasting ones. Apologies are fine but by then the guy is gone . I know it was for me.
  16. Yes Mr. Hinson I' ve been told that as well. Alex, this is a problem that is not new.
  17. Greenie, Detach the hydraulic jacking cylinder from the floor jack and send it to : Tools and Hydraulics Inc. 910-C Creekside Rd. Chattanooga, Tn. 37406 Phone 423 622 8282. They do great work. They can do Hein Werners, Walkers, Blackhawks etc etc. Will sell kits or rebuild at their location. Price was around $75 back around 2005 -6 Good luck.
  18. Alex, Some years ago I joined the AACA local chapter. Back then you had to be sponsored and I was sponsored by a friend I had. We had monthly meetings and since I was newly married and living in an apartment, had no vintage car at the time. For about a year we tried to start conversations with different people at those monthly meetings and it was always the same result. You don't have a car and we don't know you. What an incredible bunch of snobs. At the renewal time the next year I told my sponsor I was NOT rejoining our chapter much less interested in the AACA period. I told him why and he told me that had he not been in the old car supply business ,he wouldn't renew himself. Many years have passed since then I have been asked to join and flat out refused. Apparently there are those who are interested in antique cars and there are those who like the snob appeal (i guess) of having a classic car. I now have several cars of a particular brand and am frequently asked questions about these cars- information I am happy to share. I enjoy this forum and enjoy hearing about the cars and problem remedies but as far as the AACA is concerned I steer clear. P.S. I am a loooooong way from being 23.
  19. Chris I've got them. email at hornetllw@yahoo.com
  20. This cap is for a Super series Hudson. Was used from 1941-1950 . Used on both 6 & 8 cyl models. Fairly common among Hudson folk.
  21. Buick roof antenna . Looks to be complete and in very decent shape. Complete with knob and hardware. A guy I got it from bought it at Hershey from someone telling him it was for a Hudson which he needed. Turns out it was not. Anyway $275 plus freight and it's yours. For more details 704 792 9110.
