  1. A last model year Nash Ambassador with factory air conditioning in glorious Frost White, Cinnamon Bronze and Georgia Peach! What's not to like?
  2. For Sale: 1972 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL MARK IV COUPE, 84K miles - $8,750 - Longmont, CO LINCOLN CONTINENTAL MARK IV COUPE 1972 - cars & trucks - by owner -... (craigslist.org) Seller's Description: A marque such as this comes along but rarely. The price above does not reflect the condition of this car - the best of its type I have ever seen (on four continents) The vehicle has been in our family for ten years, during which time it has been carefully driven less than 5000 miles - driving the kids to school once in a while. I believe we are the third owner. Completely original from roof to wheel trims - not a restoration project. The exterior paintwork's condition is obvious from the photographs. The interior is excellent also. The leather seats are as comfortable as they were in 1972. It is actually a December 1971 build according to the compliance plate, but a '72 model. If you care to investigate prices for this model across the country, you will see they average between $12,000 and $20,000. many are well into the $20,000's.I saw one hopeful seller asking $34,000. What you WON'T find, is one in this condition for under $10,000.The mechanicals are faultless, it handles much as you would expect from a new car. Tires, steering, brakes, suspension are in great order. Having never needed any mechanical work whatsoever, all we have ever replaced is the battery.Purists might point out the (lightly) cracked front-sidelight covers, minor stone-chips on the automatic headlight covers, a few splits on the central dashboard and a Cartier clock that occasionally stops. Given every other positive, I can live with this. It is after all a fifty-year old car. The radio, power aerial and everything else work except the A/C which would need an expensive re-build to comply with modern code. Way cheaper to drive with the (electric) windows down. This by the way, provides excellent cooling without the need for A/C at all.The only item needs attention now: the front wheels need an urgent alignment! This has been worsening gradually the last two years but I drive the car so infrequently I just haven't bothered with it. It will cost less than $200.00 (more than compensated for at this price)Of relevance, The US. NADA Classic Car guide as at March 2022, values the High-Retail price (for such this most certainly would demand) of this model at upwards of $28,000. I am asking less than one third of that!We are regrettably selling it, as having moved, and given the number of cars in our household now, there is no longer garage space for it and neither snow or sun are doing it any favors in the exposed elements. The successful buyer will also inherit the original keys attached to the original Mark IV key ring (pictured) as well as a copy of the book "1972 Lincoln Continental Mark IV" (pictured also). The full history of this car since we bought it. If you care to click the following link:https://www.mixbook.com/photo-books/interests/blank-canvas-27799781?vk=3XbzBgMFpaUuSVQ4HlMsyou can browse the entire book yourself. Just make sure you increase the text size to 200% so you can actually read it.Initial contact by email or text is preferred. Genuine buyers only. The price is firm so please do not make lowball offers that would otherwise insult this vehicle. 5. Durant's empire started to crumble by 1926, various plants were sold off or had production suspended until inventories of unsold cars could be cleared. There were no 1927 Durant cars built, only Star Fours. For 1928, four Durant series were again available, one which was the Star folding into the line-up. Oddly enough 1929 was the Durant's highest production year at 34K cars, then the onset of the Great Depression quickly collapsed Billy's last automotive adventure.
  6. The Canadian operations of the Durant enterprise sold cars and trucks under the Durant and Rugby nameplates. The "Frontenac" name was applied to models in the late 1920's then became the make name as the operation separated itself from the faltering Durant empire. Here is a better look:
  7. The 1936 REO Flying Clouds were the last REO passenger cars, production for the two body styles in standard and deluxe trim levels which included two-door sedans in addition to these four door sedans was 3,206 cars. All subsequent REO production concentrated on trucks.

  9. For Sale: 1941 Packard Custom Super Eight 180 Sport Brougham by LeBaron - Major Project - $15,000 - Midway, KY 1941 Packard 180 Brougham - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle... (craigslist.org) Seller's Description: 1941 Packard Brougham for sale. This was the top of the line in 1941. It has power windows and if you can find one to put in it was the second year that had air conditioning as an option on an American automobile. It will need to be restored but is well worth restoring. The seats on these cars to be completely correct had goose down in the seats and the engines were tested a minimum of 3 times during the build process. Great car to restore. 11. The Standard Catalog of American Cars, 1805-1942, Edited by Kimes and Clark states in the 1933 Dodge section: "The all-new Series DP Dodge Six was introduced on November 23, 1932, as a 1933 model. "..."Dodge DP Sixes built from November 1932 to April 1933 had a 111 1/4 in. wheelbase. Those made after April 1933 had a 115-inch wheelbase. The two types of DP Sixes are considered separate series, although factory records combine the body style production total of both.
