  1. This Western Auto Supply catalog for a store in Reading PA dated fall and winter 1929-30 is in excellent condition for the year. It measures 8 1/2" by 5 3/4" and contains 128 pages of auto parts and supplies for the motorist of the day. The cover is in color, has no tears and is firmly affixed to the rest of the catalog. There are ads for tires, spark plugs, oil, hood ornaments, motometers, tire chains and even camping gear! I am asking $25 for this item which includes shipping in the US. Money orders, personal checks and paypal accepted for payment. Send a PM if interested. Terry Boyer Lititz PA 17543
  2. 1936-1940 parts book is sold. Thanks, Terry
  3. PA does title old cars. I'm not sure if they put a salvage title for an antique as the PA DOT website said something about excluding antique cars from getting a salvage title. In typical government wording it was vague about how it handles antique autos that are recovered thefts. Terry in PA
  4. My heart goes out to you Henry. I hope you can salvage something from this mess. Terry
  5. The Rambler wagon in the background looks a lot like the one that "Fast and Loud" fixed up. Can't be the same one? Terry
  6. Well, it made for some good reading for a while. At least the insurance company did well by them and offered to sell it back to them. That type of offer generates more good will and positive advertising than any Geko or Flo ad does on TV. Terry
  7. Having owned a 71 and a 77 Nova my vote would be the Nova SS. I always liked the lines of the Nova. The 77 I had was the Rally version. It had a good suspension over the 71, but the 71 body was the one you saw at drag races. The Counting Cars TV show did a Nova Yenko tribute car during one of its recent rebuilds. It looked great. Can't say I've seen many 76 T/A's that looked that good. Terry

  12. Dennis, did you notice the post for the wheels was dated Feb 2007??
  13. I've run ads for my stuff in a local farming related newspaper that has a multi-state distribution. This has worked out quite well for me as many of the readers have other businesses or interests like antique autos. If you have one of those local free weekly newspapers in your area that could work out for you too. Lots of people read the ads and the cost to advertise is usually low. Good luck, Terry

    The Datsun

You are doing good helfen! I never owned a Datsun but a close friend bought a new 510 in the early 1970's. It was an unusual car for the geographic area where we lived as we had only US cars and a VW dealer close by. The Datsun owner had to travel about 50 miles to buy the car. I liked it a lot but at the time I was still a motorhead and only wanted the US iron with a big engine. My friend made out well when gas got hard to get and pricey and the rest of us were fretting about the cost of driving. Terry

    The Datsun

Is it funny how this thread has gotten so far away from the original discussion on Datsuns!
  16. I am thankful for all the great people I have the pleasure to interact with since I joined this site last year. I am recovering from an auto accident that nearly claimed my life in 2012 and needed a place to hang out and take my mind off my injuries. This has been it. I hope to someday be able to go back to auto shows and meet you all face to face but in the mean time this web site has been a way to get my daily old car fix. Thank you AACA and the members that come here. Terry
  17. Please let your students know it was a pleasure working with them. They are lucky to have a teacher like you to guide them in understanding the history of the American automobile. I would have signed up for your class in a heartbeat but nothing like it was offered 40 years ago. Best of luck to you and your class. Terry
  18. The shotgun shell shaped brass gage with nickel plating is what I would associate with that time frame. Terry
  19. This is an early red cover edition of the MOTORS Factory repair manual for years 1935-42. It has been used as seen by the soiling on the cover but it is in nice shape given the age of the book. There are greasy finger prints on some of the pages but they do not affect the readability of the information. Asking $25 for it which includes domestic shipping via US Post Office media mail. Personal check, money orders or paypal accepted. Thanks, Terry Boyer Lititz PA 17543
