  5. I am going to have two new axles made for a project car I recently purchased...anyone interested? Going to work with an Amish carriage builder I have done business with for years. Just trying to build the order, once he sets up his lathe its all about production. Not sure yet on cost but he has always been fair with me in the past.
  6. On the top of the jug, next to the round cylinder head that unscrews there will be an engine serial number which will actually identify the year of the engine. I have a registry as listed by the Brush owners club, if you post that I will identify the year of the engine.
  7. Starter bendix spring broke and after replacement inmy 1924 Darracq 1500 cc motor the gear will not engage Does anyone know if there is a rotation issue as the Marchal starter has a clamping bolt which allows you to rotate somehow?
  8. They did not want the motor!!!! If you can believe it, they thought there would be too much weight to put it in the atrium where it now resides. The engine serial # A20724 believe to be February 1928

This is a complete running motor, starter, carb, gen, manifolds, etc. Trans, clutch, bell housing, brake, clutch and gas pedals, e brake handle, throttle linkage literally taken out of a restored 1928 roadster that went into the AAA Motor Club building built in 1928 in Chicago and is now on display in the atrium, they did not want the added weight. The engine is ready to go and can be picked up in Northern Ill or I will assist in shipping. $1750.00 OBO cell 815 403 3803
  10. This is a great car as I personally know the vehicle. Engine restoration done by Bill Westerfeldt very dependable. Overall nice general appearance. I own two Brush autos, just wish I had room for this one......A nice car well worth looking at.
  11. Have you considered using, and or "adapting" antique carriage parts , as I have springs and axles with the reaches for the axles and frame. Square axles and coned spindles which can be fitted with Timken roller bearings etc. Just the right amount of pitting.

  18. Gary, GREAT PROJECT. Consider a quality printing from a photo shot of the face plate you want to use and then do an overlay on the new gauge. Once under the glass no one will know. I did it on a gas gage for the face of a 1933 RR I restored.
