  1. I sure like the style of the car, but I am no fan of black cars in the summer time. The paint would steer me off of this car especially at this price point. Beautiful car IMO.
  2. The pictures of this car might have been taken soon after the car left the production line. Need to buy some film for that camera.
  3. There are cars with a high demand, there are cars with low demand and at the bottom of the list there is this DeSoto. Whoever did this modification deserves to keep it.
  4. This car could look better (IMO) with a tan top that is shown in the literature. The truck tires do not do this car any favors either. Not a bad looking car, just needs a little tweaking. My Buick had 16x6.5 truck tires on it when I first got it, makes the car look very plain.
  5. Beautiful car, but he might be trying to get all his money back for that frame off restoration. He might just get it, looks razor sharp. I think my 56s may very well be worth 25K and although it is nice, this Cadillac is much nicer than my Buick. Maybe 55K is right.
  6. I agree, I don't know if this is a flipper or not, but it would seem that the owner who drove the heck out of this car and now thinks it is worth 24K doesn't make sense. The seller should take a haircut on this car for the run down condition of the interior. Sure do like the style of this car.
  7. How about a '62 Galaxie with a 406 and 3-2s? Spent a lot of time at the dragstrip watching this car turn in some respectable times in B/Stock
  8. If I were selling this car, I would replace the carpet and ask 35K. Maybe the seller wanted to leave one thing so obvious so a potential buyer would not nit pick. Not sure about the eight volt battery, my Buick has had a six volt battery for the 12 years that I have owned it and not had a problem. Very nice looking car.
  9. Don't know why you would paint this car red, I would think that a more conservative color would be more appropriate. Pretty cool car though.
  10. Beautiful color, not the usual white or black at a very reasonable price. The day will come when I sell my Buick and buy a daily driver such as this.
  11. If this car was the retractable hard top (Skyliner) version in perfect condition, then it might stretch to 30K, but it's not. 20K is all the money for this car. Nice, but over priced.
  12. Seems like some of these photos are several years old. Very little information in the text, other than it will need to be picked up. Non runner. Nice looking car though.
  13. IMO convertibles are a Midwest and East coast thing. I grew up in Southern California and there was never a shortage of sunshine. I00 degree heat in the summer made you appreciate AC. So I have never sought a convertible. I moved to Michigan for family reasons in my 50s for 12 years and the long winters made me appreciate summers (still did not seek convertibles, but realized why people celebrated summer).
  14. Thorough inspection is needed on this car. I did live in Michigan for 12 years and you could watch cars disintegrate before your eyes. Very liberal use of salt in the winter time really made it tough to keep a car together. Very pretty car IMO and the price is reasonable.
  15. It seems strange to me that over eighty some years the owners treated this car like an orphan. Now the owner thinks it's worth quite a bit of cash.
  16. I thought that this car might fetch 20K, but I guess that 18 is all the money. Very beautiful car at any rate. I really like the colors and the interior looks real sharp.
  17. Fair condition???? What does one look like in bad condition????
  18. I agree. The exterior looks great, the interior looks so-so with some issues with the flooring and the wind lace (typical), but the engine compartment that could look sharp, looks totally neglected. Also look at the the lighting terminals in front of the generator, this looks terrible. A 70 year old car with the original wiring would scare the heck out of me. The blow by from the oil breather can provide the fuel for a fire under the hood. The ignition can be provided by the frayed wiring. Ask me how I know.
