  1. That really came out nice! Congrats.
  2. Thanks guys. Maybe it just needs a little adjustment.
  3. I can't seem to find any spec on how much pedal free play there should be other than there must be some to ensure the clutch is fully released. Right now, the pedal goes down about half way before the throwout bearing moves. Although I haven't yet driven the car, it does appear that the clutch is releasing properly (I have the inspection cover removed) and I have unstuck the clutch disks. Is this normal? Also, should there be a pedal return spring to pull the pedal all the way back? Right now it only comes back as far as the clutch spring pushes it. The clutch linkage does seem sloppy..
  4. Bob, running board on a '25 is metal for sure. The splash aprons measure just shy of 80 inches length (they extend past the running board forward and back).
  5. I'm looking for splash aprons for a '25 (the sheet metal that goes between the body and running board. Also the front apron sheet metal that covers fron axle and springs.
  6. Nice looking car. Is that a shortened chassis?
  7. Hmmm well it's worth a try....
  8. Well I ended up renting a puller that bolts to 3 of the wheel studs and pushes on the end of axle shaft. Tightened the bejeezus out of it, tried tapping around the edges of hub, heating the hub all to no avail. You can't really get much heat where you need it. What a stubborn SOB! I did take the puller off and try Paul's method too but I was only able to rock the car while stationary. The hardware store looked at me like I was from another planet when I asked for 2 & 7/16 x 16 threads. I'll have to try and find a puller that screws on the hub and wait till the car is drivable....
  9. That you Paul & Dave. I'm going to head down to one of the few REAL hardware stores around here and see what I can find with a 2 7/16 -16 thread. Unfortunately the car isn't yet ready to drive yet....
  10. Are there any published specs on minimum thickness/diameter for drums? It looks like I'll be needing a puller to get them off or would a slide hammer work?
  11. Some good tips in there. Thanks Vergil.
  12. Yea I wish there was more out there on how to properly adjust. Maybe someone here will do a youtube video?
  13. For what it's worth... Vehicle horn - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  14. I was assuming that any horn with an electric motor on the end is the ahooga type. But I'm no authority on that. I would just prefer to try and stay original.
  15. I don't want to cause heart attacks...
  16. I was hoping to stay closer to original with the ahooga sound...
  17. I'm not having much luck scaring up a 12V horn for my '25. Would it be as simple as adding an appropriate resistor in parallel to a 6V horn make it happy? There are a couple of well work 6V on fleabay.
  18. My bad. I didn't remember seeing them in the Romar catalog.
  19. I was looking at it on Jegs. Is it small enough to fit under the cap?
